About the same its a LG 27" 1440P 144 Hz Gaming G-sync (amd-sync?)
I think those extra-wide shaped screens looks cool, but i tried a tv as screen once just for fun, and found it was too big and hard to see all content without constantly moving head back and forth.
oh and regrets, not exactly, but i do think it 1920 had been enough, one day i noticed my graphiccard was working with close to 100% and it turned out it is the video encoding that takes alot of resources now
I think will go for a nvidia card next time.
...
I have here a 27" 1440 IPS Gsync 109 ppi Monitor and a 24" 1440P TN Gsync 123 ppi Monitor. (Both true G-sync)
Yes, the 27" is also for me too big. I mostly use the 24" Tn. (The IPS has a better colors, but the 123 ppi are also great).
If they would produce a 24" IPS WQHD Gaming Monitor, i would buy it.

Ok, ... that would be nice.
The 5800X3D, (launch is the 20.4.22), is a gaming CPU and it seems it's faster then the 12900KS, (in that game 15.5% and 21% faster then the 12900K).

Hmm... The 1% low fps looks also good.
The best part is you can use almost all AM4 Boards down to 300-er Chipsets. (Needs a Bios Upgrade).
It's an CPU to upgrade your "old" PC without the need to buy other components.
...
In a half year + Zen 4 is coming. And there you need all components new.

The Ryzen 5800X3D was launched today.
Interesting... with that low Power Consumption and for that price.
(It's a nice Upgrade CPU for AM4 (specially) for Gaming).

So, I can use this in any computer? How does it work?
...
No, only on AMD AM4 Plattforms down to Chipset B450. But i also saw new Bios for 300-er Chipset which support it.
https://www.amd.com/en/product/11576
At the end it depends, if you find a Bios from the Board Manufacturer of your PC.
After the Bios it just needs the AMD Drivers (Agesa)
...
Anyway, ... it's just a Upgrade Option if you have already an upgradable system.
It would be wrong buying/building a complete new System based on AM4, because in a half Year Zen4 with AM5 is coming out.
(Same as Raptor Lake from Intel.)

5800X3D for Linux Work

(Keep an eye on the efficiency/PowerUsage)
...
On the other side for some work the X3D is slower then the 5800X as you can see on Site 1
...
Btw. X3D has another advantage. You don't need to buy special fast Memory.
With Cheap 3200 Memory it's practically the same FPS in Games as with 3800 Memory.
