During these days here in Russia we witness some kind of hysteria in the shops in the entire country. There was toilet paper hysteria in 2019, buckweed hysteria in 2020, lemon and ginger hysteria in 2021 and now it's sugar hysteria in 2022. The subject of the hysteria are mostly women of pension age (60+). They started to custom sugar twice more than it ever was before. Just curious if you have something like this in Europe or US these days.

It's not like it was back in January where there were shortages for a number of reasons on lots of stuff, but there's still some. I shop at 3 different places depending on what I need. Prices are higher on stuff, especially beef.. much higher. There's some shortage of chicken (at times), avocados, canned cat food, some pastas, milk sometimes, eggs. I've seen empty spots in the canned food area and also empty spots in the frozen food areas though.

Earlier this year in Northern Ireland there was a shortage of all vegetables except broccoli when we had to stock up for a month at sea. Nowadays I'm the foremost expert on all the ways to cook broccoli in the entire northern hemisphere
