Hey SiMPLE Community,
I haven't played since 2014 and now I was trying to play some good old BF1942. Unfortunately, it seems I got banned sometime? Actually I can't remember and it must have been a long time ago (perhaps it even wasn't me). Can you guys unban me?
Thanks :-)
Playername: Reno Raines
BTW: It seems someone is using my CD-KEY (I have the original retail version from 2001). Any ideas what to do?

Why you think someone using it.
Should not be possible .
You have to wait somehow 20-25 seconds, before restart the game in the case it crashed.
Otherwise you get the "CD-Key already in use" message.

I haven't experienced any of these problems before. But you are probably right. Since there are only a couple of people playing bf, it's very unlikely someone else uses it.
Thanks Arkos!
As far as I know and as I can remember, I am using the CD key that came with my retail version. But as I have said, it's been years since I played and I have just copied the bf1942 folder from my old laptop to my current one.
Sorry for being so noobish, but I got old. :-)

check in the battlefield folder if you have a "eReg" folder there, if so open it and run the Battlefield 1942_Code-program to check that your key is registered ok

If you just copied the game-Folder to another CD, you have no registry entries.
I send you a PM.

So I did everything you suggested and it worked. But still it says "Banned from server" :-(.
