There are legitimate ways to get better hitregs in BF42. Many of ‘em unrelated to internet connections. Most old-timers are unaware of this.
Small easy adjustments ....
Vicious adaptations that may seem rudimentary, but are hard to spot and figure out, and require thorough detective work.
Let’s see if anybody are willing to share at this very late stage of BF1942's lifecycle.
A plain starter:
Don’t do heavy downloading while playing BF, it may worsen your regs.
If you really want significantly more regs, just delete system32.
I've found that my hit regs correlates with my blood alcohol, but only up to 1,2%, after that it goes down.
.
High amounts of Electromagnetic interference at home may negatively influence hitregs in BF1942
I heard that bad aim could affect it as well. Most likely a rumor.
Install a Linux distro. Job's done!
.
some think theres a single big fix to make all lag vaporize, and get super regs all of a sudden
non-allowed hacks may do that, but in the permitted department, many tweaks give so small advantages that theyre mostly unnoticeable one by one, and therefore dismissed and discarded by most users without proper testing techniques
but they can add up. a millisecond here, four milliseconds there. it may all lead to a substantial edge
I dont think regs is lag related. I used to have pretty good regs over the years even with 140 ping. Just being smooth helps a lot and that can be enough for some. For me it would be enough ti be happy.
Lecter is right
140 ping :
If you really want significantly more regs, just delete system32.
seriously
Ferieterie is from Netherland and his ping barely goes above 14 , idk why you keep saying 140
Oh I don't know, maybe because it says 140 ping on the top left corner of the video?
Also I know the server that the sniper kills are filmed in, it was an American server called 'berlin jeeps and planes'
Just move north. get fibre connection. godlike regs.

Yea i didnt paid much attention to first half of video since it was mostly in unkown server, but in general the base internet of Netherland is good, most of players from there have good ping to all eu
.
sorry for repeating myself, but some just dont get it, no matter how many times a subject is explained to them :
for bf1942 or any other pc game via the internet at ping 0, zero packet loss, zero jitter, there is still significant latency
same with a lan setup
He doesnt hit you either and half the time you miss aim. I ve seen better examples of horrible hitregs. in this case I d say it was to your disadvantage and advantage
The devil's in the details. I think there's a lot more to it than hit registration. When you climb the ladder to HQ and don't get that little lag that pushes you forward, when you come out of an APC or tank and don't get stuck to it or when you switch to your gun and instantly start shooting without the massive screen shaking and recoil etc, all traits of a good, responsive, in sync game. Perfect hit registration comes together with all those other little things most rookies don't notice.
One thing you can try is running your game in windowed and pressing the ALT key to freeze the game up for a second or two. I figure it works a lot like reconnecting would, refreshing the data. I ripped this one off from lachesis, after that he started acting weird and left the game.
