Jungle
There's actually a place in a county next to me that has a few thousand monkeys because some guy who ran glass bottom boat tours in the 1930s released them on an island in a river and didn't realize they could swim.

Out city is producing ships with underwater wings, that's to say in Russian. I mean hydrofoils. I made a short video of how it looks like from the inside.

Love it! That's really cool! Do they still make new ones? I was under the impression that they were going obsolete and not being produced anymore due to running costs incurred with fuel consumption?
There is a company I worked for, Brittany ferries, working on making a similar concept to cross the English channel. It will be electric and it will have wings so sort of a flying boat. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mby.co … 115326/amp

Yes, it's a model of 2017, a new one.
obsolete technology is always impressive.

This is for sure not obsolete. You have much less friction.
The Technogy is from 1900.

obsolete technology is always impressive.
Hydrofoil is used by every serious sailor racing, ferry companies (including the largest maritime company in France by number of employees) investing in it, hydrofoil boards etc etc .
The technology used on these ferries is far from obsolete, since it hasn't changed in the past 4 or 5 decades, for anyone other than electric generators rather than propulsion engines.
So you know the lucky treefrogs I mention? Here's some pics.
So before they'd lay eggs anywhere there was water. Because it storms basically every evening, there's usually water somewhere. But the heat just dries it up by the next day. So I'd scoop them up and put them in a little rubbermaid tub. But the stagnant water was not good due to bugs. A neighbor of mine suggested making a little pond, which I did and put it in the shade to help limit evaporation. (This pond also doubles as a bird bath and snakes also drink from it). Unfortunately, the eggs would get sucked into the filter pump so I scoop them out as soon as I see them and put them in a rubbermaid and have it sit in the lanai so they have shade and I fill it with water each day. When they get bigger i put the rubbermaid outside.
There's many different species and quite often the eggs that i have are from more than 1 species. Mostly Gray treefrogs, green treefrogs, barking tree frogs, cuban tree frogs, and squirrel tree frogs.
Here is the pond. It's just a basic plastic preformed pond. It's not very big
Tadpoles from June. Not from 1 single frog, because they "share" the place where the magic happens . This was the 3rd group of the year. 1st group was in March... the filter got them -.-
Tadpole and froglet:
This is one of the few that survived the filter. Sometimes I don't get them all or don't notice and they survive by hanging out by the lilly.
Another:
Happy adults:

That's really cool? Where abouts is it?
Any hot springs in the area?
Uzbekistan, Tashkent.

Lightning hit a tree and then the lightning hit a fire hydrant by my friend's place yesterday. Water and sand shot up like a geyser until the water company turned it off. That hole isn't due to digging. Water immediately boiled and blew! Then water made the hole bigger really fast since as you can see, the soil is mainly sand. We have sink hole problems in FL so any time this stuff happens people get nervous even though it wasn't technically a sink hole.
(I didn't see it as it happened. I saw it today and my friend told me what happened)
