Unreal Tournament 2004 GoG Edition

Unreal Tournament 2004 (GOG Version)

Download, unpack, install, start and config it, and also change the Bot-Strenght to one of the positions higher then middle and then stop the game.

Then Go to <gameDir>\system. Open ut2004.ini. Find these lines:

"FullscreenViewportX" and change it your desired resolution. (example 1920)
"FullscreenViewportY" and change it your desired resolution. (example 1080)

Change them to set your desired resolution. Any resolution is supported.

(InGame you can also switch FoV, but 90 is not that bad. Perhaps a bit more for 16:9?)

Mount the Images with Deamon Tools Lite or similar and use one of those keys to install: (At the end CD3 is the crack)

Just played on a server with 10 people deathmatch and got noobed.

Killed some, but i don't even know the map, it's very hard and too fast for me

And somehow i can't handle this double-tip dodge with w-a-s-d.

Meanwhile i was reading a bit in case of Online servers and it seemse some are cheating with autoaim, more speed and radar.

When i played on that server it was also some discussion in case of one player.

The game would be really nice, ... anyway... there are so many servers online and i guess we, some dudes of the Simple-Community, could go play on some of them. 

The GoG Version, as it is installed, works fine to play Online.

Added "Unreal Tournament 2003" in the 1st post.

I played it since 2 days now and the last map of the ladder, (Bombing run), was so funny, so i started to capture 10 Minutes after the start.

Somehow the fun was epic

I will upload that huge file tonight.

At Bombing run i asked myself, how da fuk the bots get 7 points?     

Just found out if you jump with the ball trough the goal it gives 7 Points   

Here some gameplay, from time to time i had massive framedrops for somehow 30-40 secs, the aiming and gameplay felt sluggish, but mostly it was very good.

It's really fun to play this game.

Arena shooters are a lot of fun. Very fast paced action most of the time and it's all about positioning and getting all the guns + health packs before other players.

Btw. In all old UT-Games you can set the desired refreshrate manually in the UTxxxx.ini.

"DesiredRefreshRate=xxx"

Original it's 60, but you can set any you want.

Found a solution vs those massive framedrops, which i had in that vid from time to time. (Sluggish gameplay, hard to aim).

Cachesize is set by default to 32MB, but today systems have a lot more.

I think Unreal Tournament 2003 is the best of those 3.

2004 has more maps, but the gameplay is far better in 2003.

I switch from one to the other while i played it between the last weeks.

I can't handle Dodging, ... was allways too lazy to learn it. You need to double tip W A S D to dodge.

The problem is, if you missclick once a key you don't get where you wanted to go.

This game is much more interesting and challenging than the others due to the dodging system, which I like.

By the way, you could use  WASD key-combinations for different power effects when you reach full adrenaline.

Tapping S 4 times gives you a health and shield booster for instance.

hey mate i´ve seen that you are able to upload videos in 2K resolution. When i try to upload a video it only process in in SD (720), but it doesnt process it in HD like it used before.

My InGame Resolution is WQHD, (2k), that's the reason why it's 2k.

It can take some time until it's encoded from Youtube.

You could record it in a higher quality then you play, but then the files are also bigger and take more time to encode Youtube-Side.

Usually for making donations for players used Tremendous which is perfect one for creating gift cards, money rewards of opening digital cards. But preferable to use money or gift cards for winners of different gaming tournaments
