Fort Detrick's lab has temp closed in the past. This specific time was due to issues with the wastewater decontamination system. Though, I'm sure you can suspect it was for some other reason.

That assisted living facility is over an hour away. Plus, if it was COVID or anything else there'd be a lot more than 3 deaths in that facility.

That connection between the assisted living facility and a biolab is some tinfoil hat kind of stuff.

If you want to look into something, look into the missing anthrax and ebola specimens from Fort Detrick. That's more interesting than old sick people dying from respiratory illnesses in a facility for old sick people.

Yup. You're right. It came right from that lab and someone brought it to grandma. Why didn't I think of that. Damn.

And FYI, they found what swept through the facility. It was Haemophilus influenzae and rhinovirus.

Haemophilus influenzae is not a strain of the common cold. Not even close.

Common cold is a rhinovirus, but there's also more than 150 types of rhinovirus.. some can be quite bad (polio, which this was obviously not). But even the common cold can kill people who are severely immunocompromised.

Rhinovirus is going to be in any facility with a lot of people. It's the H flu that was probably the biggest problem. The common cold sure as hell doesn't help the people in those facilities though

A variant (in the US) is believed to have come from England.

The original strains were the L and S

The naming comes from a system they use to identify the genetic lineages. There's over 1200 lineages for covid and there finding more all the time.

They mutate to a primary like to B 1 and then there'll be mutations where you'll see something like E484K.

They just went to the Greek alphabet to help avoid confusion. Easier to say "Delta variant" instead of "B 1.617.2."

Also note 2 different nomenclatures. The currently widely used naming system was created specifically for covid. Before it was different, that's where you get the L, S, GH, GR, O, etc.

I had a conversation about the vaccine with someone in PM. This is what I said:

Here's my take... A lot of people are fearful of the vaccines because of scary side-effects including some deaths. Personal example.. justa short time after I got the J&J vaccine, it was paused and women of childbearing age were told not to get it due to causing a rare blood clot disorder (AstraZeneca in Canada had same problem). Sounds terrifying, but statistically relatively insignificant as awful as that sounds. People will have side effects and there will be people who will die after taking vaccines and not just COVID vaccines. The bad cases are always highlighted and it scares people. Especially when these are technically "experimental" vaccines since they're not offcially approved by FDA.

I understand why people question/fear it. I'm not anti-vax obviously, but I'm not into shitting on people who choose not to get it. A lot of stuff is getting political and it seems like many are encouraging to shame those who freely choose not to get it.

In terms of alternative stuff to help prevent severe covid, my doctor says Vitamin D, zinc, and quercetin.

What i am trying to say is, we are told that we can take a choice whether to be vaccinated or not. That is not true, because if someone goes to his/her boss right now and tells them "Hey you know what? I dont feel like getting vaccinated ", the very next day there will be another person doing what was your job.

Right now if you want to travel somewhere you need to be vaccinated.

In my country there are some places that requires you to be vaccinated in order to put a step in.

We live in a world where in most of the countries if you:

-Steal something, you pay for it.

- Kill a person, you pay for it.

-Become a serial killer, you pay for it

-a lab located somewhere in China releases by accident a virus killing millions of people around the world and also change the whole mankind way of doing things, they (goverment) dont pay for it.

Nah wouldn't change anything. If it comes from China no one would say anything to them other than put in a few sanctions. If it came from the US (which it kinda did, thanks Mr faucci) they're already killing kids in Yemen etc and no one says anything.
