Hi guys,
Weird issue here.
I have installed battlefield on my gaming pc and laptop with the same files and I can play battlefield "classic" online and on lan perfectly but for some reason Forgotten Hope is giving me "Data differ from server" everytime I try to going the game on local lan.
This doesn't happen with EoD mod or Desert Combat final but I have the same issue with Desert Combat Extended.
From what I'm reading on the forum this is supposed to be a local file issue so I copied the whole "FH" folder from my gaming pc to my laptop but I got the same error.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there know compatibilty issue with FH and DCX with the new version 1.61 patch?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Check the registry entries on both PC's

Hi,
Thank you for your help.
Just checked, and they're both on 1.06.101.
As I can play BF classic and Desert Combat Final on lan with no problem, what can be wrong only for Forgotten Hope and DC Extended?
Is there a server verification specific to some mods or what?
You mean running a dedicated server on my PC and then reconnecting both PCs to it?
Wouldn't cost a lot to try.
I'm doing a full install right now on both PC and If it still doesn't work, I will try that.
Do you remember if you can start a dedicated server and join the game from the same PC?
Many questions, one simple answer!
Reinstalling everything, in the same directory on both pc managed to make Forgotten Hope work without having to create a dedicated server on changing any parameters.
I will have to do more tests because some maps doesn't want to load in Forgotten Hope.
A lot are just showing a gray screen in place of the normal "map image" and some of theme are just crashing to desktop without any error message.
I didn't got time to search about it yet but I might just reinstall everything all over again.
Is this Reinstalling everything again is a common thing with issue with bf1942?
Thank you again.

Do you have perhaps a "Battlefield 1942" folder in "Documents"?
If then delete it and if your game is installed in "C:\Program Files\..." then move it to "C:\Games\Battlefield 1942" or another drive.
...
Btw. There is a 4GB Patch for FH and all other old 32Bit Games so they can use 4GB instead of just 2GB Memory.

And here is a Compatibility Mod. (Read it first).
https://www.moddb.com/games/battlefield … bility-fix
After installing it, BF1942.exe keeps "Run as Admin" but deactivated all other compatibility Modes. (Not needed anymore).

It is better to run a dedicated server even in LAN, you can change more settings easier, its availible modded enabling more bots and the server can run on its own cpu-core. There is also a chanse that you get a error message this way instead of the game just crasching.
You need something called battlefield server manager (bfsm) its a small program that you drop in the games root folder. https://bit.ly/3zKBqcu
Simple have some files you can use https://team-simple.org/download/

Added Compatibility Fix, ... 2 posts earlier.

Try the Compability fix, it has helped before.
To be technical about how the datadiffer check works, there should be a file called "contentcrc32.con" that the makers of the mod made when they finalized it.
It has calculated checksum of each map, and one cant even look at the map in a mod tool and press save without doing anything because it will alter the checksum.
most servers dont use pure settings anymore
