I've noticed the game is buttery smooth the first 10 mins whenever I join. The regs are almost as if I had 30 ping or something. Then after that, it's like you hit a brick wall. The regs progressively get worse. Also, there's no stuttering at the beginning.

Avoid peak times - For me, weekends are terrible and after dinner on weekdays for a few hours.
Full servers always have a negative effect on me.
Check your ISP - Sometimes they throttle you, and other times they're just shit, using old tech - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl … wires.html https://www.wired.co.uk/article/uk-broa … ondon-slow
Cheap clan servers are poo poo - Feels like I'm trying to squeeze my bullets through the eye of a needle.
For the most part, I think people wait for the best reg possible when making frag movies, I wouldn't use these videos as a reliable comparison. Hit-reg on bf42 has been a nightmare for a lot of players. It's 3.30pm, time to jump in the server before my bullets turn to feathers!
hahahahha that was good. Obviously frag movies shall be uploaded only when they look good, nobody wants to upload shitty gameplay and show their ''noob''. That involves a lot of filming, waiting, experimenting to get the perfect vid.
Yeah, it is hard to find reliable comparison, but one things for sure, it is not determined by how low your ping is, which was my point.

Who would have thought, huh? A good example how even 18 ping and +- 20,30 pingers can also have a shitty hitreg. I dont know what Windows you are using, but on W10 its changing almost all the time. This is something for those who " haha and troll" others how a 20 pinger has to have the best regs ever all the time.. Try to play later at night hours ( 23 and + PM CET .. ), not saying its always that good, but most importantly it's barely bad.
It would probably be better to downgrade the server to v1.6, if I recall there is a Patchswitcher tool somewhere that allows players to switch to different versions of BF1942.
I don’t think I have ever had problems in v1.6, the hits are so good and consistent, it’s just incredible. As Hencca said you can get crazy side hits with pings well above 100. I don’t know what the problem is with 1.61 but the hit boxes are really terrible.

Yeah, I kinda missed your point. Yep, ping will just cause a delay, whereas hit-reg is an entirely different thing... Probably more to do with the quality of connection/route and server. Good to see those video comparisons none-the-less.

I'm on windows 10 since I started playing again. I don't think OS has much to do with it though. I've always had the same issues from XP to Windows 7, until now.
One other interesting point. Lachesis always had god reg. We always put it down to the fact that he lived in a largely unpopulated Danish village, very close to the internet exchange point (IXP). It was like he had the whole village internet to himself! Regardless, still a beast of a player.
I agree that that internet usage around you can and will affect it, but not in every case. There are many other things at play, like for example having ultra shitty regs, then closing the game and changing some random settings, rejoining and the regs are godlike. That can't be explained by internet usage alone. Since the code is crappy, miracles happen from time to time.

These are two of my top moments among a few other vids. To think that it is possible to reg like that all the time is foolish
random settings
Never knew about this. Is this why everyone disconnects/reconnects in between rounds?
I would need to know these random settings so I can test it out, or is it Deeko's secret formula?
Nothing to keep secrecy about lol, but I've witnessed how it works sometimes and does wonders. Resolution, texture quality, whatever you can think of. Just don't count on it
there are a million and one ways to figure out the correct formula, don't bother. the game's got more bugs than kaners bedroom. but, there are a few tricks to soothe the experience. a few of which lachesis kept using in his danish village. wouldn't want to share them here tho.

Like what, his DLL injector?
no, i've already discussed and showed these things to Tuia and a few other players.
Infantry is the most hated part of the game. One reason being no matter how good you are at it, any random newcomer can slay you. That is all behind reg. There is nothing you can do when your enemy has good regs and you are moving behind in time. Oldscool player who started in 2004 vs someone from 2018 - there is no certainty. In tanks and planes it is different and skill matters way more.
That is haski owning me, the same player in the impossible game video. I see him here moving twice as fast as he sees me, I stand no chance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYENNR4RDVU
Anyone can compare this vid to one of my other vids where enemies move like in slow motion. So this is reg - slow motion, noreg - vice versa
The weirdest part perhaps is the fact that I've noticed a very subtle change in singleplayer as well. Connection quality doesn't seem to be the only factor that determines your slo-mo or sped up/chaotic game

Completely agree Simon.
Lol сука влядь Наме
lol that tiger was one of a kind, can't be found in any other map.
About that depression, most of it is nothing on your end. This was a mod/setting made by Tuia or his administrators. Basically, when switching between your weapons your bullet spread goes wide. Meaning, that even if you see your crosshair being small and spot on after switching, the server doesn't register it. This affects mostly medium and long range distance fights. Takes a second or two to have it normal again, if you don't keep firing.
Modded servers: all SiMPLE servers, TL War Server, TheGreatEscape - These servers have the fire deviation set to maximum.
Other servers: Arkos's server and 1v1 Inf server - Where the normal clips were recorded.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyHHJpTGZ9g
This gives a huge disadvantage to players with skill who switch alot. Test it yourself. Makes a broken game even more broke.
Since 2018

Lol you sure leveled the playing field tuia. Leveled it to the ground there bud. No wonder you people never went to other games you can't use !kill commands and have Russian badmins breaking your own rules. Pathetic ruining an old game with almost no players

Since 2018
"There are some changes coming"
So this is the main reason why we have to shoot with small amount of bullets every round (gay) no wait, it is this mod + the server lag, what a total disaster.
Can we know all of those "changes" ?
...
It will be for all players the same, but will reveal no spreaders.
Let's see.

lol thats extreem, bad luck there nameless
Its not something Tuia made. its a patch by Russ.
Kinda clever patch, to disable a trick that negatively effects new players.
Its a choice of preference as admin
The current description is:
Reset firing deviation to max when disabling weapon.
Im not fond of this ether
il talk to tuia about it. Maybe half of max, or even less.
btw the tanks missing shots have nothing to do with this patch.
The patch simple uses is for infantry handweapons.
It sets these values to max after putting the weapon away:

http://bfmods.com/mdt/scripting/ObjectT … scDev.html
http://bfmods.com/mdt/scripting/ObjectT … reDev.html
so when you pull out your gun its like you just jumped, shot and moved
this is what i would say:
At least remove the jump and fire deviation patch.
The speed and turn im okay with

for sure he just destroyed the game, damn awesome.

Right. Things that set your fire deviation to maximum:
- Entering and exiting any vehicle
- Swimming
- Picking a kit up from the ground
- Switching
- Respawning
- Fast falling/Dropping to the ground with a parachute
Maybe there's more.

No. Rewards being bad. Once they learn and get better they'll be punished by this mod.
