Ye, that would definitely work if there was only 1 map in mappool. Think.
In clanbase and ESL it was always this way. 2 maps were played and the team with more tickets won the game. So actually it is a good point he made.
It's ridiculous that people still don't know the difference between Conquest and TDM.
Let's use another example. Let's say I have a clan of American/Canadian players, and I want to play in BF-League. Let's say BF-League agrees to have my team in the league, knowing the ping difference, and all the other clans, by some kind of miracle, agree to the 50-50 rule, where one map is played in my clan's American server, and the other in the European server. Using the current BF-League score system, we can almost be certain that all my clan's matches will end up being a draw, since obviously we will win our map on our server with the ping advantage, and lose the other map with the high ping on the European server. In that example, it makes sense to use the number of tickets to determine the winner, and not the number of rounds, since that way, the side that used its ping advantage better on his home server will have the highest number of tickets, therefore winning the match, even though technically the match is a draw.
So yeah, the score system needs an update.
If North-American team has at least one black, one feminist and one transgender player, there should be +100 tickets for the team. The score system needs an update.

You really are the biggest imbecile on this forum. Did you even read what I wrote? Apparently not.
Tickets, rather than rounds won, should be used to determine the winning team.

This is the reason why people don't want to deal with you due to your absurd ideas.

There's nothing absurd about it, and it actually makes sense, as dary pointed out.
A match where one side wins on tickets 200 - 15, but still loses the match 3 - 2, is what is absurd about this whole thing.

200 tickets on the first map are never equal to 200 tickets on the second map. Your logic works only if both teams play TDM 4 rounds on the same map.

It became a topic to discuss in our community before as i remember. The thing is that in ESL, teams played only 1 map for 4 rounds but now we have pre-decision rights to ban and choose maps depending on the strengths of the team's squad which is more fair in my opinion. This gives more flexibility and fair to the game since each team has different gameplay and players with different specialities. If we play in the way as before in ESL, it will not be fair anymore. Thus, basecamping were allowed before as i remember.
So that under these circumstances, since we play 2 different maps (99.9% of the time), overall score calculation can not depend on the tickets. It makes no sense, comparing how much apple you got and how much strawberries i got.

Pretty sure 2 maps have been played. To be honest I don't get your logic. This doesn't make sense. If you play 2 maps and 2 rounds each, everything is even.
Have you played ESL?
Yes sure, basecamping was played. Some clans agreed to play without BC tho. Anyway, we are talking only about the tickets. Basecamping is another topic. But would be more fun if you ask me.

No mate i did not play in ESL, i was too young for that back then. One question, i'd like to know your logic, how would you create the point system if it depends on the tickets? Still out of 4 points? If yes, how would you proportion on the teams?

Exactly. At the end of the day, yes the maps are different and don’t have the same difficulty level but both sides have equal opportunities to get the most tickets possible on both maps. Both teams get the same weapons, same vehicles. With the current system, let’s say team A wins the first map 2-0, they can afford to sit back and be lazy for the rest of the match because even if they lose the second map completely, the worse result they will get is a draw. The current system encourages laziness while if you play for tickets it is a fight to the death to conserve the highest number of tickets. In other words, pure Conquest.

Just one point for a win would be possible and the loser 0 of course.. But the table would look more boring. The point system reminds me on a soccer league and this might be a reason it prevailed. Both systems have advantages and disadvantages. But nothing will change so it doesn't make sense to waste time on that. I agree with Mamba that a game would be more interesting till the end. If you fuck up one round you could lose the whole game. Another advantage is that there won't be any draws. Except if you have same tickets. But that would not happen very often.
Good games.
Lots of emotions on both Bulge rounds, it was intense and close.

Was very intense and fun. 12v12 after 10 years.
Agreed mate. But also seems its more profitable to a team that has Island's flags..easier to defend I guess. Just stating a fact, not complaining, it couldve been us if we were able to take it, which we werent.

Exactly, if you capture the island then it is hard to take it. Either you do wingwalk (which is easy to counter position against it) or attack by landing boats (it is also easy to defend it by defguns and by having high ground advantage) or the pilots can spot the landing boats and kill them.

There were actually a few moments when you owned the island with both its flags but you didn't hold them.
Yeah, we didnt do well on the ground yesterday.. Me also. Was tough.

Who won? The results aren't on BF League.
On Bocage, the game was very intense and competitive. Was fun to play. We should play it again next time we have a PCW.
