Battlefield 1942 Anthology crashing at startup on Win 10,please help

Hello,

I am facing crashing to desktop anytime I try to launch Battlefield 1942,it only plays the intro video and then crashes to desktop,and my OS is Win 10 x64 bit.

Please help me.

Yes,I have set Battlefield 1942.exe to compatibility Mode XP SP3 and Admin.

And the 800x600 resolution is available on my PC,and my native resolution is 1280x1024.

Open ...\Battlefield 1942\Mods\BF1942\Settings\VideoDefault.con with Notepad, change first 1 to 0 and save the file. Then try to run the game, it may show the reason of crash

Open ...\Battlefield 1942\Mods\BF1942\Settings\VideoDefault.con with Notepad, change first 1 to 0 and save the file. Then try to run the game, it may show the reason of crash

I just did it ,and it showed me the following error: "can't reinitialize D3D device''

Is it a Laptop or a PC?

If a Laptop then it could be a Optimus Problem.

If, then > nVidiaControlPanel > 3D Settings > ProgramSettings > Battlefield 1942 > Force nVidia (instead of Auto).
