Moving to the Netherlands

New year, new server.

SiMPLE is moving BF1942 servers to a new dedicated server in Naaldwijk, the Netherlands. Server IP address is 194.88.105.25.

It is a more powerful server and most players will have a lower ping to the server.

So, what should you do?

Update your server list and look for *NEW* SiMPLE servers. After, add them to your favorites, if you wish, and delete the old ones. Join *NEW* SiMPLE servers and that's it.

You can also use these hostnames to connect, they will always resolve to the server IP address:

• bf1942.team-simple.org

• play.team-simple.org

this is pain for me, i can't play bf, this is outrageous and no hits at all and other pplunder name ''bfsoldier'' with 26 ping , he kills everyone with only 2 hits and that's it, idk if i'll continue play on or give up, i have headache.

well .. although the netherlands is closer than paris i have a worse ping .. i don't like a lot of things either .. a lot is not in my game as I imagine it either .. but i'm working on it .. that is also hard and time-consuming .. but it is progressing slowly .. that's it goldie .. I am sure that you are one of the best on the rtr / sw server ... the bf1942 server is just another level .. I can also proudly say that we probably have the most experienced and best players on the server ... giving up now would be fatal .. you can only learn from the best .. I've also offered you to practice with me several times .. so pull yourself together and don't cry around here .. and the player you mentioned earlier is Luigi/Maximus .. a german pro ...

Maybe  literally connection is best so far but many players including me facing totall oposite. Hit regs not exist , but am hitable like a standing target.

Apperantly internet is extra strained at the moment.

The announcement followed appeals from EU officials for Netflix and individual users to ditch high definition video to prevent the internet from breaking. With so many countries on forced lockdowns to fight the spread of the virus, hundreds of millions working from home and even more children out of school, the officials were concerned about the huge strain on the internet.

I don't notice any difference but my ping has been crap since we had the fires here at Xmas/ New Year. Sometimes it's just impossible to play especially if there are a few in the server. Oh well, C'est la vie.

Wrong. Simple servers are located in Netherlands, not in UK. Do you even know what "latency" is?

Try determining your ping like this.

Dude, I was posting in response to bud's post about the internet being strained because of the lockdowns.
Nothing to do with my connection to the server.

some days ago the server was super laggy. my mouse was also freezing up that day. tried restart a few times. the mouse is ok now.

New server indeed runs much better than last one, especially thanks to better specs, although not big change for me, still having ugly and full of lags ADSL internet Luckily I don't have packet loss... at least that's what it looks like.

Just a lill update from the north. Server feels nice and smooth with 50-60+ players. Ping looks steady and overall the server doesnt seemed stressed or bogged down in any way.

i just came back playing and flying the plane and yes it became worse than it was before and i guess i have to take care of this nonsense, no physics to this game, quite sad.

I used to underestimate the load generated by an increased number of pco. Maps with lots of networked information are much laggier than ones with little.
Consequently Battle of Britain and Midway are a mess on simple because of 10 planes on each side, ships + boats and several land vehicles...

I played three or four maps in a row Omaha and Britain and it worked flawless. Im not sure exact how many players there was tho. Ill make a lill vid next time  if i remember.

it even depends on how many are playing, as for me, above 40 is already like 40% regs for me while below that number is technically better value and more hits.....i think i said it before too....
