long ago i learned how to add players to the buddy list, everything was cool until people started to changed their nickname, the issue is that when they change their nickname the console still remembers their nickname used when i added them showing me the next message: error trying to add "playername" to buddy list etc.

how can i fix this?

you have to change name to the missing buddies and then remove them from buddy list by clicking on them in tab menu. there is probably other way

Hola Zwarrior, I think what ziba is trying to say is that it is not possible for you to do that. Just out of curiousity, is it the error messages that annoy you or do you want the system to automatically add the new nick of your friend to the buddy list?

whenever i get teamkilled i use the console to know who that player was, but with this error that information can disappear instantly due to many actions could happen at that exact same moment, i have like 7 or 8 buddy list error´s messages in console.

If I am not mistaken, the buddy list is stored in some file in one of the BF1942 subdirectories. Can you check?

ok, i found the sub file where it was, just had to erase and save, problem solved, thanks Seventy.
