It looks good.  Can you give me a "Eve of Destruction for Dummies" rundown Monkey?  What's it all about?

Re: Eve of Destruction - Redux

Vietnam. It's one of the longest running 1942 mods - they also did a BF2 mod which I thought was great but dissapeared quite quick.

Previously a decent size team, now coded by one guy - Lotte - and has a stupidly large numer of maps (100s), custom everything, all very polished, imported a load of stuff from BF:V, and is generally a pretty fast-action DC style mod without all the techy tricks (spawns/nukes/etc) that DC did.

EOD:Redux is basically Lotte starting from scratch in the Unreal engine, albeit importing a lot of the maps.

Random fact - the Snoopy logo on the M113 apc is a tribute to an old EOD mod team member who died.

Re: Eve of Destruction - Redux

I used to play the original EoD heavily, and I also vaguely recall the BF2 mod.
I had purchased Lotte's EoD edition a couple of years back, but couldn't seem to find any MP servers and never had time to research it.  Is this a firewall setting or do you think the game is more of a single player release?

Re: Eve of Destruction - Redux

Origin dont bet Battlefield 1942 as offer, because they stopped running the masterserver. But the 1942.sk COmmunity sponsored a masterserver for the Community, and team-simple the patch, and thats why we can play Battlefield 1942 like in the past.:-) If do you need a Download let me know. Best EoD ever is the Eve of Destruction v2.51 Mod for Battlefield 1942. 24/7 HSLAN Server is online.;) But you have to tip the Server IP Manual to play online.
