1700X was $129 at Thanksgiving. Stellar deal. I upped it to 3900 GHz with stock V and an air cooler.
Although it prolly go higher, I dropped it back to 3800 for longevity/safety... Plenty fast
...
A 1700x for 129$? That's stolen!
I want that too
Here it's 205.- Swiss francs. (205.- $).

Hihihihi
Ryzen 3xxx faster then 9900K in Cinebench on 8 Cores 16 Threads.
(And, as it seemse, great Gaming Power).
...
And a new HighEndGraficcard is coming, with 16GB HBM2, faster then the RTX 2080 (but double and much faster Memory). (~same price).
...
And now Freesync2 is out

Lisa said twice: "This benchmark is with a 8 Core/16Thread CPU."
I bet, that they launch also a CPU with more then 8 Cores. There's much place on that socket.
Enough for a second 8 Core/16 Thread Chip.

(On the right the CPU 7nm Chiplet and on the left the I/O Chip in 14nm)
This was an Engineering Sample CPU. So they think at the release, they are even 10%+ faster.

AsRock launches Deskmini PC for Ryzen APU's up to 2400G in February 2019. A 2200g would be perfect.
The Deskmini's cost around 140-160$. (Case, Powersupply, Mainboard with Wifi and Bluethoot. Then you need an APU, SSD or M2 and Memory. It has place for 3 2.5" Harddisks 1xM2 (PCiE-4) and 2 Sata SSD's).

Intel shut down the 10nm production process completly, because of non working integrated GraficUnits and the next CPU will be 2020 in 14nm, (Comet Lake). The new design will show up 2022 in 7nm.
Who knows, perhaps because the are a bit under pressure, they force the 7nm launch, but earliest termin will be End of 2021.
In July, Ryzen 3000 will come and this is the moment for me to build a new system. Sadly the HighEndGraficcard from AMD will come in 2020.
nVidia, between, admitted some problems with 2xxx graficcards, the malus with DLSS and problems with RTX.
I guess AMD can use this chance, because i'm sure in 2021 Intel will invade with their 7nm CPU's.
But meanwhile the Ryzen 4xxx will be also there with PCI-E 4 and DDR4 Memory. (I guess).

Adaptiv Sync now works with nVidia Graficcards.
The good news is, people with a nVidia 1xxx or 2xxx can use Freesync now, named "Adaptiv Sync".
That means nVidia Graficcard works with Freesync Monitors, which is ~150.- cheaper then a Monitor with G-sync.
But it doesn't work with all Freesync Monitors. Beside the official list of supported Monitors from nVidia, there are a lot more who support Adaptive Sync with nVidia Cards. (You can find informations in several forums).
Like this you can buy a cheaper 144Hz Freesync Monitor and you can use now Adaptiv Sync.
When it's supported by the Monitor, the nVidia Control Panel will show that option called "Adaptive Sync".
...
The GTX 1660 Ti was launched today and it's not a refresh of the 1060, it's a "turing", without RTX and it's on the level of a GTX 1070, a lil'bit faster.

Ryzen 3000, first leaks.
15% better IPC up to 4.5 Ghz on a "Engineering Sample", means that the market cpu's could reach even better performance.
https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-3000-15- … -40-lanes/
On the X570 Boards they had a problem with the speed of PCI-E 4.0, but the say they can fix this for the launch, new Boards allready on the way.

It looks not good. Imagin what happends, when it comes out the datas are not safe anymore in the cloud or secure domains. (MDS)

I just like to see how AMD is rolling up the field from behind.
I will build a new system somehow 1-2 month after release of Zen2.

very impressive.

Oh yes

Average Performance loss with all security patches installed on Windows 10. (Spectre, Meltdown, Ridle, Zombieload, MDS etc.)
Intel = 16%
AMD = 3%
https://youtu.be/3hmYQwf7nmc?t=152
...
AMD is not affected by Spectre, (except v2), Meltdown, MDS, L1TF and perhaps some others.
...
Btw. With HT off, which is suggested by Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc. the loss is up to 50% on Intels. (But only needed on VM's and Secure Domains, Clouds)

Nope...
It's possible for Ryzen 2xxx unofficially.
If it's also possible with Ryzen 3xxx we will know after the release.
