Paris tragedy.

Just wanted to say some words of compassion here to all of the french people. Horrible to see what happened to such a piece of art. Hope it will be restored.

Re: Paris tragedy.

My phone was going crazy with news notifications about it yesterday. I was thinking "ok.. there's a fire and it'll be dealt with." Then I got home and turned on the tv...  wow. So sad sad

I hope you French people are able to save as much as possible and rebuild it. It isn't just a cathedral... it's such a beautiful historical building. As Insane said, it's definitely a piece of art.

Re: Paris tragedy.

When I left the office yesterday, I saw a cloud of smoke in the sky even if my office is at a distance of 5km from the Cathedral. Then, I discovered what happened.

French billionaires François-Henri Pinault (Kering owner) and Bernard Arnault (LVMH owner) donated EUR 300m to contribute to the rebuilding effort. I hope that the building’s structure has not been too much weakened.

Re: Paris tragedy.

Thanks for the post. For lovers of history that's pretty sad not just for french people or for catholic people.
Notre Dame is built on an Island, all of the Island is really pretty and represents the symbol of latin capital with the Sainte Chapelle.
Well like everyone could be hurted when 11 September happend and like all symbols of countries everywhere on earth are important.
Enjoy your life, travel, take pictures about your moments in life. Go to Rome, London, Vienna, Moscou, Madrid, Japan, Teheran, Rio. Visit all those places, meet people nothing matter more than that.

I had a similar thought - places like this must be guarded better than most guarded persons in the world.

Many years before we can recognize the Cathedral. Impossible to rebuild the wood roof of it old by 856 years. They use 400 years old trees to build the roof hmm No forrest in France is so much old (21 ha needed) but the new technology will help us to save few years. We talk about 10 years. Until this reconstruction, Paris will welcome OG in 2024, we have still many monuments to see, and the cathedral isnt destroyed, the paints inside are saved for the most of them. The windows (vitraux) are safe too.

Re: Paris tragedy.

I became suspicious of this fire when the news coverage said officials had ruled our arson or deliberate destruction before the flames were even out. 30 minutes in they declared it was not arson. They cannot know this and would never say such a thing until a full inquiry had taken place. Secondly, the cathedral was undergoing renovations and the scaffolding for these renovations is still intact. I think during the attempted renovation they discovered that a rebuild would be cheaper than renovating 800 year oak. Thirdly, Micron the Puppident has been going through a rough time lately what with his Vest Protest and a fire that burns down a problem also helps solve the problem of uniting the French people under a commonly shared tragedy. Fourthly, and the one that seals the deal on this false flag for me is that Micron announced a contest to find a new design for the cathedral roof that embodies modern France, and we all know that means code for turning a cathedral into a mosque.
