Many 2080 and 2080 ti are defective between some days.

But those issues concern not only FE Editions, but also all Custom cards with reference design.
Some cards died between the first 30 minutes, others between 1 week.

Another chance for AMD with their upcoming high end gaming graficcards in 2020... take it!

Btw. there is another issue with the cooling solution.
Some cards Cooler have no contact to the memory or Memory and VRM's. They "saved money" by not mounting heatpads between VRM's/Memory or Backplate).
Only a few have a good solution like.
PNY RTX2080Ti XLR8 & Zotac RTX2080Ti AMP Edition
or the best solution have
Gigabyte RTX2080Ti Gaming & Gainward RTX2080Ti Phoenix

On some graficcards you have still garantee, even if you take away the cooler to mount heatpads yourself.
If you are willing to do this, then an Asus Strix is also nice.

Btw. There are two different GPU Chips built on those cards. (All 2xxx Cards, A and Non-A Chip)
On some there's no chance to increase the power limit.
Non-A Chip = 300 Watts vs. A-Chip = 380 Watts
On the Non-A chips Cards you need a Hardwaremod to increase the OC limits. On the A's you can make it by TweakTool or BiosMod
