It is daunting to try and get good games in old mods..   

But Hey, I know there are 1942 gamers playing the same maps over and over and origin 1942 players that never had a chance to see the mods played in their prime. 

  Load a few mods up and join the event times !!     Your friends will be glad you did!

Sticking to Saturday events only,   the Galactic Conquest Mod is hosting their second Primer Event today at 6pm est.   

Stormtroopers are gathering in anticipation.

Thankyou to all who have taken the time to help beta test this new release.

And probably a dozen more...   Not to mention every major Battlefield 1942 group.   In fact team simple who has done so much for the Battlefield community was almost missed.   I wasn't going to let that happen...  and I have expectations.

I expect 5 regulars players from team simple.   5 from Ax,  5 from Moon.   It's on us to promote the heck out of this event and add 25 - 35 more players to that number.   We intend to do just that.  We've done it before.

Join and you can expect a full house, a server which has been tuned to the game in advance, and a lot of fun!

The event was cool, thanks to 1942mods.com for hosting this great event! Judicator, Alaris, Hoth and Tatooine are excellent maps. My only complaint was not enough people joined the event. It would have been amazing to have 40 people on Judicator Push.

How aboot a new GC Event? I really want to stream some mods I just haven't really gotten around to doing it... The Battlefront II Beta was just released, so I think it makes sense to do so now or somewhere in the near future.

Whats about an Galactic Conquest 8.1+8.2 event? Both works together on one Server. IS82 and FHSW also good mods too. But there are more too. Eve of Destruction Vietnam, Battlefield 1918, Battlegroup42, Desert Combat for example.

8.2  has a full installer, it will overwrite 8.1

Advanced you will find a button just following the destination directory window.  Use this for D drive or Origin installations or to dump the Mod to a neutral location.

I am more of a Star Trek fanboy, never liked Star Wars. Nevertheless, it is seems a very interesting mod, a lot of work was put into it. Maybe it was Galactic Conquest which inspired Battlefield 2142, like Desert Combat influenced Battlefield 2.

I don't know how you find those video relics.
