Which plane are you faries diggin the most these days? Been a while since posting any vidz here,
but I'm still getting woodies over the 109 more than the others.

Does anyone have trouble fighting off a mustang with it's ridiculous abilities?

Yeah the Mustang with a good pilot is a killer machine. So much that a couple of them can dominate a map and spoil the whole game.

Corsair is still my favorite, hated it at first but once you mastered it, it became like well worn glove.

I like the ilyusian because I'm not a good dogfighter and just like to bomb stuff but the ilyusian is an awesome mix of a bomber and a fighter. Has enough speed to hold it's own.

The name of the plane is Il-2, Ilyushin is the name of the aircraft designer.

I feel like the mustang gets easier the more teamplay you have, especially in 2v2s I see 109s often winning
It's like a mental thing, once a pilot gets into a mustang he gets too reckless and too agressive on focussing 1 person down, meanwhile the other one can just fly away for a little bit and return to shoot the mustang

My fav has to be the AW52 from the SW expansion and after that probably either the Mosquito or BF110 from RTR, haven't flown in vanilla planes in a very long time so can't really judge those anymore

Probably the only footage of AW52 vs HO229 dogfighting eachter that is flying around on the internet

On 1on1 Mustang is better, the more planes the better for BF109, cause the BF109 is simply faster, which means help will arrive faster etc.

Just make an experiment with BF109 and Mustang: start together from one line on the ground on Bocage and you will see.

Good idea. Does it depend of the altitude as well? I think the higher the BF, the faster it is.

The Focke Wulf 190 is missing from the vanilla fleet of aircraft. If that was included, then the Mustangs would not feel so comfortable. I never fly, but the rare occasions I play maps with two Mustangs on they seem to dominate and inflict an inordinate amount of damage on ground forces. A fairer distribution for those maps would be 1 Mustang plus 1 Spitfire Allied, and 1 BF109 and 1 FW190 Axis.

Bombing the Reich is great, ... intercepting attackers with the FW190. The Bf109 is better, but it has only little ammo.
