New Maps Server -> change Map "Corsica" with Map "Paradise Dot" or ???

nearly nobody plays "new maps"- server.
If I am on there with 1 or 2 other players, they leave if Corsica is coming up.
Corsica is too big for 2,3,4 players....

There are so many nice maps and mods....

Change the maps on this server to make an alternative to the other simple server.

Hi JarJar,

well it's a pity. I was exploring the maps some weeks ago, and I think they are all really made for a bigger amount of players. Especially I had bigger expectations for the map Remagen, since I saw a documentary about it on TV. But I was a bit dissapointed. I thought it would more act about capturing the bridge. Nevertheless we can thank those ppl out there who still sacrifice their spare time to create new maps for this "old" game.

Maybe you have some suggestions which maps should show up?

Hello JarJarBinks,

It is a good idea to review some new maps. Where can I find that map "Paradise Dot"? And to reinforce Dr-Duke's question, which other maps should be considered?

A lot of maps from BF-League that haven't been added, there's at least 66 memomaps you could add, as well as IF Berlin/TL Aberdeen. There's also the vanilla versions of the RtR maps.

I have modded some maps, but they feel outdated now. One could pick some of the best maps and polish them some as it is download required anyway.

There were a lot of Bf1942 community mappers back then creating a scenario for the Battle of Remagen aside from the work of zara5ustra. Among of these are:

"Remagen v1.0" by Burnsoft
"The Bridge of Remagen" by Swisstell

Sorry guys for the delay....

I just forgot this request...
Today I searched my actual Mac for this old Map (Paradise Dot) and couldn’t find it in any archive.
Maybe I will find it on an older Mac in the next days. I am sure it is there anywhere...

But there is more good stuff out there:
A beautiful and well styled mod, called "Pirates".
One server is online sometimes with 0-3 Players.
This mod is so funny!
Maybe it could be hold here for download to make it more popular? ( http://www.moddb.com/mods/bf-pirates-10 )
Think about some work to do with Windows 7 and newer, to install it ... !
Best maps for only a few players: Dead Calm, Short on Supplies, Black Sand Buccaneers ao
But this mod is the best for fun without stress...

There have been some other server in the past, nice crazy guys there created a lot of new maps...:

They had funny maps to play with just a few players... (ask them?)

The Ramagen map is one of the best 1942 maps -- on CONQUEST -- the coop/singleplayer version sucks.. I don't know why they changed it..

has anybody tested the map Paradise_Dot ??

Just one house on a small island.
One flag on the top of the house.
You spawn on the ground or in the air to capture the flag.
The flagholders spawn in or near the house....
Very short delay, very fast contact.

Good for only 2 to 10 people.

Downloaded it. But haven't tested so far. Will give it a try...

Edit:
Nice little map.

I would add some more ambient sounds (water & crickets but that's a personal taste), delete the tire inside the hotel that's stuck in one of the wooden benchs, stretch the island a bit and move the axis base behind the hotel. Cause baseattack is not allowed on SiMPLE. And believe, 'nades will fly from one base to the other... Besides that, all in all, a pretty nice tiny map.

Good for a little private session, but I think at current state not useable for "SiMPLE | New Maps" rotational.

mhhh, we have had so much fun with 4 friends with this map....

just don't change anything, load it on the server, stop ban for basebombing (only one base...)

... and enjoy - what about a fight together? only both of us? (edited bad english)

Well it would be an easy thing to do so, but I'm not sure if that's what tuia had in mind whilst setting up the "New Maps" server. We all share some memory of older times (that's why we're here), but this map, in my oppinion won't fit in as it is atm.

But I would'nt refuse a little private combat. Invite me to your server then.

IP 37.187.19.136  port 14569  35 min rounds (there was no ticket bleed), you can use mapvote to shift between CQ and CTF mode.
