Intel i9 & Windows 11 In BF 1942 FYI

Hi all,
Yes, Maddog  joined here to give you some information.
I just built a new Desktop with Windoes 11 Pro and a Intel i9-12900K CPU. I'm here to inform you that the graphics on this processor don't work properly on BF 1942. Even with up-to-date drivers and all patches installed.
You can get into the game, but at spwan, the screen freezes. You can hear the weapons fire & change. At that point, hitting escape crashes to the desktop. So, after many hours of trying to make the game work, I decided the CPU drivers/graphics are not compatible with BF1942 (yes, I set compatibility mode).
The next day I decided to try an older Video card I had laying around (Radeon HD 7700). Well, it worked like a charm, and I even have a full screen that I never had before.
Basically, paying many extra dollars for the newest CPU with built in graphics was a bad gamble. Now I have a high-end system with and old video card.
The prices for newer video cards are currently outrageous $450- $800! So, I guess I'll wait for a market correction on the cards and play with what I got after I finish configuring the new system.
FYI,
Stay well
Maddog

12900K is overdose smile     Only makes sense if you play games which can handle more then 8 cores.

(You have set Blackscreen.exe as Admin and 800x600 Resolution on PC?)

Download this d3d8.dll, put this file into Gamefolder and try again
