Hello,
I have a Battlefield 1942 WWII Anthology HD 1.61. I can enter to Team Simple servers. But I can't play with my old man on the local server by LAN.
Both computers have exactly the same version of BF. Same maps, same OS. But I get an error "Data Differs from the server".
I tried deleting maps older than January 2004, but that didn't do anything.
Interestingly, the Origin version runs without a problem on a local network.
Any ideas?

Both PC's must have the same version of the Game.
You need the AfterGamespy Patch for Origin also.

Hello. Do you have DedicatedServer.exe in the game folder? If yes, run it via local network.
...
Usualy you do use not dedicated server in a Home Lan.
One PC is the Host and the other connect to this one. Both can play.

In the map folder you should have only *.rfa files, beacuse if you had there other like mappack.zip or something else the game will crash. But if you can go to other servers, and you can't join to SiMPLE only (i think beacuse of content check 1) you have some extra files.
I have only *.rfa files and I can join to SiMPLE servers. Only LAN is not working.
Both PC's must have the same version of the Game.
And they have.

Yes, I have but it is not working on my OS (MacOS, I'm using WinSuite to run Battlefield).

Check the files with Total Commander or similar software where you can check both sites files at once to find discrepancies.

Thank you for that link, but I can't enter to it.
Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.
...
Perhaps some game files are altered.
Compare them with some tool, where you can compare an entire folder for discrepancies.
...
I guess, if you start a Local Host you have no option to activate content check. If, then disable it.

There is a Mac version of the game. https://macgamesland.com/first-person-s … -game.html

But i guess it runs only on old Mac CPU's.
Not on Mac's with Intel, nor on newer Macs
