greetings,

For the first time ever, my son was introduced to BF1942 last night and got to play a few maps on this server.  He thought he was helping his team by using the german artillery guns and just non-stop shooting the beach.  It was his first time to experience it and apparently, he was using the artillery on the dday map a bit too much and didn't realize he was killing so many of his own teammates.

Please unban him, I have explained to him what happened and to be mindful of teamkills and how to know.

It was an autoban for 3 x kick for a -9 Score.

Normally this is a 3 day ban or so, but i lifted it now.

He can play now, but perhaps it would be a good idea to read the rules first.

Btw. I guess he shelled the middle Bunkers and not the Beach.

He should ask for a target > F2 > F6 and if he got one, pressing right mouse to see, where he shoots.

thanks, i went through and had him read me all the rules and made sure he understands them.  I did prewarn him that I think he was teamkilling to much and now i think the ban has made it very clear that what i was telling him was true.  I was there during the bombing but he was on the other team so I didn't know how excessive it was.... his real target was just trying to stop the capping in the middles so he was just bombing it.  chat runs so fast, i don't think he was looking at how many kills yet, barely learned how to use the tab menu today.

but alas, it's a whole new experience for him, quite overwhelming to be sure.  I first played, almost 20 years ago now, the beta before the game was even released to buy when the game only consisted of wake island and nothing else, so i know most everything about it.  I forgot how big of a game this really is to someone new, but he is having a blast so far.
