High ping on the server ?

Hello guys,

Living in France, I always have had a good ping playing on Simple team server (about 20 - 30).

Nevertheless, since some days ago i have observed that my ping was about 120 ! Meanwhile, I noticed that my ping on other servers has been the same.

I just would like to know if other people had this ping issue. Perhaps the server is currently facing connection problems ?

I understood that it was the ip of the server but what can i do ?

that's a windows command, it shows route to the server
if you get unusually high pings, you can find where is the problem

although you can't fix that yourself anyway ;-)

Yes, probably a temporary router problem between your connection to the server. You can't do anything, unfortunately.

Well, i think i am facing the same problem Musen was facing earlier, it must be the router

As i understood, Musen, you have been playing without lags lately and without having done anything ? So perhaps i only have to wait for the router to be fixed...

That is correct, was nothing I could do about it, just wait.

And now it has been working fine ever since.

That happened to me too. Sometimes it comes back, last few day I´ve had my normal ping of 40 jumping to 120. Not often but it does happen from time to time...then it disappears...

Could you ping the server and post your results here?
Press Windows key + R and type cmd. A black box opens up with command prompt type: ping -n 18 188.165.220.115 > c:pingtest.txt. Go to C: open file pingtest.txt and copy and paste here the results.

Unfortunately, OVH hasn't resolved the routing problems with Numericable. I don't know if it's related, but they have finished increasing link capacity between Roubaix and Paris: http://travaux.ovh.com/?do=details&id=7802.
Can you ping other BF1942 servers and post your results?

you can leave it as is

Your internet connection is fine. It's a routing problem between Numericable and OVH. : I hope they are aware of it, they should be.

I am also have similar issues as you.
Pretty positive my ISP (Rogers) has over loaded the cable network I am on as it is like clockwork.
6-10pm I am getting packet loss and unstable ping in game 30-299.
