Thanks Viita thought for not being trigger happy about it, and accept that the rules are not clear enough and maybe this is a matter of opinion.
Thanks for posting. I bail at 1:30 and at 3:17 I'm killed on take off. In my opinion this is bit on the limit if it could be counted as base camp or just killing a bailer. On your defence, you do check carefully that it's me before shooting.
Would like to hear other opinions and clarify the rules a bit on this grey area.
The kill for me at 3:17 is basecamping, you are clearly taking off, I will always kick for it. Its nice that Darcano sees you so high and in the mid of the fog but im no pilot and I can only presume he saw a grey plane on af and guessed it took off.
Yes, no doubt it is base camping in my mind. In league this isnt allowed. The rule about for how long time you are allowed to kill a bailer in mainbase needs to be clarified here, many admins would kick for this. 2 minutes is bit too much. I could have pushed to flags from main as inf, died, spawned at af and taken a plane in that time. Would I still be counted as bailer and be killed at take off?
Some framework needs to be given for this rule. I've always thought its a maximum of around 20 - 30 seconds after bailer enters mainbase. But it isnt written in the rules.

IMHO rules are clear:
-once you get active you´re legit target untill you die. No ifs or buts or times.
Anybody who attacs/shoots to mainbase to kill an active player must understand that he/she takes a risk of doing baseattack if any collateral damage appears.

We are talking about planes taking off and there is a grey zone. There should also be a rule saying that it is not allowed to kill planes which are taking off.
A plane could also camp behind the base and kill planes mid high trying to get altitude. I would say that it is allowed to shoot planes between mid till high altitude. At that altitude planes should be able to defend themselves.

Yes. If you didnt kill a bailer until he gets in next plane - its your problem.
Planes should not be allowed to be attacked during start.

I always press tab to see the status of other players, that's why I added you to the buddy list. You were still without deaths.

I thought that once you went active there was no cooldown. Looking that not everyone agrees I'm going to stop doing that.
I still think that should be discussed, this is really exploitable.
PS: I only look at the timer to calculate the B17 spawntime, seemed like a lot less time to me.

The rule not attacking a taking off plane is meant for new spawned players.
If someone bails into his Base, it is allowed to hunt him down.
The question is, who is waiting a minute to turn back to see if perhaps the same player has taken that plane with the risk of a quickly manned aa.
There's much more to reach between this minute.

I'm fairly certain tuia said that you are fair game once you leave base. Returning to base doesn't make you safe, which includes entering a new vehicle such as a plane. But, if you kill others while killing the one who returned then you can be kicked for attacking mIn base.
But i agree that the fuzzy area is whether you kill them soon after they return or a longer period of time after they returned.
