Constant disconnects

I keep getting disconnected from the server immediately after connecting. It was working fine all week long last week, now I can't join you guys in game. Help. =[

Try connecting to RusBF.ru or SiMPLE | BF1942 No key [USA]. There is no plausible reason not to be working.

Both connected and actually held the connection, but when I try it on the French server, I'm in game for a few minutes tops before I get disconnected. Seems to have started messin' up when the experiments with extra slots started. This sucks, man. You guys have the only decent server.

A video is preferred. Use Bandicam, Fraps or Xfire to record your video. It can be in a low resolution.

that actually happened to me yesterday. I got in the server ann a couple of seconds later I would get disconnected. Eventually I got in and stayed...

Doesn't seem to stop. I've uninstalled/reinstalled/patched. Reset my router and modem. Tried a different network card. I'm at a loss.

That's really weird. Are you using any firewall while playing? If so, try disabling it.

Weird... you reinstalled everything and it still doesnt work? Hmmm... tuia is right, try the firewall or ask you provider if there are problems with the connection. Who knows, could also be...

I had this same problem for a while and in the end I just needed to update punkbuster to the latest version - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling battlefield, re-applying all the patches, but it's actually because most servers now use the latest version of punkbuster and if yours isn't up to date, it will kick you from the server - The majority of the time it doesn't say you were kicked, it just says "Disconnected from server".

You can download the updater here: http://box24.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

You will have to manually check for updates against each game.

Downloaded and installed. Not sure how to get bf1942 on the list, though. Seems to have all the battlefield games except 42.

Battlefield 1942 is no longer supported by PunkBuster. I don't believe installing PunkBuster can solve your current problem, as our server doesn't have PunkBuster enabled. You can try, however, to install PunkBuster from here: http://www.pbbans.com/forums/punkbuster … 12090.html.

And correct you are, tuia. Unless I installed it wrong. All my other games work fine with no lag. BF1942 just hates me. = Thanks anyway, fellas.
