This is bugging Merlin, @ 0:55 in the video I've seen you do plenty. That is a bug, and against the rules. To avoid these problems - stop hitting ctrl + z tongue Then you wont get banned. Just because you think it isn't a bug, doesn't make it okay big_smile

I will ban 90% of league players if I*ll take this video as example of forbidden moves. I'll start from today and see reaction....  It's common sense that player should be able to hide behind hills, sandbags, destryed vehicles, etc.

Pretty sure any bugging of this extreme is forbidden entirely in-game and especially on bf-league. And what are talking about? Some players bug occasionally, but none to this excess. Bugging behind cover like that makes you just about unhittable. Literally one can only shoot their feet to get any hit markers and even bugging in open space like @ 0:55 makes you un-hittable for aslong as your in the air. By literally making yourself unable to be hit, it should be against the rules.  Merlin isn't doing it the 100% correct way and I truly believe he doesn't even understand what he is doing but he is still bugging, so I think a lighter ban is more appropriate. Just needs to be more careful in the future.

With all respect - what Merlin does is not so bad. In my opinion this is much worse and I can make 100's of such examples.

Then do it, instead of talking bs. Additionally, Mitch does that with no enemy in sight. Don't know what this video is supposed to prove.

Re: Bias about movement

Well,  this type of movement makes player more invulnerable that movements shown on Twiggs video. No one is banned for that.  Otherwise - nothing wrong, everybody does it. (except of me - I can't) sad

Watch twigs' video again at the time stamp he provided. Thats about as gay as you can get for those bugs. All I see in your video is a crouch jump eS.

Crouch jump is basically the same as holding down your crouch button for a second.

Re: Bias about movement

What I am debating is that Merlin was harassed too much and him being banned for everything (in this case "bugging"), while the other players get away with that. I don't care if the others are "bugging" or when they "crouch" or whatever they call it. I suggest that rules will be equial, even to Merlin.

Re: Bias about movement

It is still possible to reg the double jump (crouch jump), So I would disagree that it is the 'same' as bugging. You just have to adjust your aim accordingly, and or adjust your position correctly so when they land you can shoot them. Hell even just shoot them in the back. Different story with bugging though.. and that's why bugging is against the rules and crouch jumping isn't tongue

You have a point but I think we are confusing the issue.  I could care less the name of the person doing it.  A prone bug jump is a much more pronounced version of what Merlin attempted accident or not.  It's not like everyone is running around doing it or all admins have their fingers on the trigger when they "think" they see it.  To do it properly takes other skills and again...a moot subject.  The double jumping or crouch jumping others have similar issues with including myself are much more common...but at this time the server owner allows those moves.

No no no, there is a difference between pressing z key in open space, or pressing it behind obstacles like crates, barrels etc.. League players who would excessively bug behind obstacles would have been banned already, so your statement is simply false and unfortunately even encourages Merlin in his wrong assumptions about bugging. What you guys called dolphin prone is still a dick move but proning behind little huddles, crates, barrels and sandbags is the worst thing and banned in the league.

Have to say I myself was warned several times by some admins as well  to "not bugging" after some firefights. Despite that I was not aware of any intentional misconduct and thought that I was just killed in usual close combat with rifle and pistol in hands and just firing and using cover behind sandbags, barrel or part of bunker against rushing opponent with his smg and its bursts to my position. What I read so far if this matter is viewed by someones of you as stated above, these responses are clear for me now. It still surprises me that consider this covering behind obstacles by using crouch/prone keys (it depends on the size of the obstacle in the game) and possibly shooting over obstacles as unworthy thing intended for forbidding became the subject of dispute. I understand that an engine used for Bf1942 with its netcodes has its moments and causes things, which some players intentionally favoring it for theirs benefits and which causes inconveniences to others, but I was convinced that case of using somehow cover against the enemy fire or firing on the enemy from there is for this type of wargame something absolutely natural after all. From my ingame perspective as ordinary player it has no disadvantaging or using glitch purpose, I just crouch or prone behind obstacle with rifle or any other gun to avoid hit or bolt action or to reload and continue shoot and take down nearby or distant enemy as best as I can, thats it.

Re: Bias about movement

I find it annoying when Merlin writes several A4 papers of the usual garbage. Of course everyone should be able to ignore his bullshit, IF it wouldn't be for the fact that all these words create a big massive black whole, that absorbs all the visual contact. It's like playing with a blindfold when he is around. When he is at the 6/10 of the anger scale, he usually only types a few words, that's definitely acceptable and he gets there either with our without the admins help. But maybe, if our admins stopped manipulating the mighty scale of Major Merlin, it could possibly have some affection.  Gods know what, the guy is a mystery. Just ignore him and maybe he will get wiser one day smile
