You could try this :-
do i need a special monitor for that? or only gpu is enough?

i need a monitor that support g sync ?
so gpu is not enough alone?

Since a while you can buy 27" IPS Gsync Monitors. Acer Predator http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/20 … ubprz.html
No washed out Colors when using 120Hz/144Hz.
But those Monitors are expensive, and it's not possible to use 144Hz and Gsync together.
There are some FullHD 24" Monitors with 144Hz for a payable price, but Non Gsync, as the LG 24GM77-B or Benq 2430T or-Z

If you have constant FPS, as example 120 or 144 Hz in a game, you don't need Gsync anyway, deactivate Vsync and use Framelimiter via nVidia Inspector.
G-sync is only helpfull, when you have framedrops in a Game.
Besides there are many games which have an FPSLock. There Gsync is helpfull, bec. you have no tearing. The Gameplay is the same, as you play another game with constant 144Hz.
Gsync is working between 75 and 120 Hz, (perhaps between 55 and 120), and it's good if you play a game where your hardware can't deliever constant 120/144 framerates.
Gsync is mostly only working through DisplayPort. Means, you can't connect 2 PC to one monitor anyway bec. most (if not all) have only 1 Connector, as you can see here http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/20 … #Bedienung
The best GameplayFeeling you have with constant 144Hz with ULMB activ, on the other side on TN Panels you have wahsed out colors.

> Gsync is for nVidia and Freesync for AMD. It's not compatible to other graficcards.
> 120/144Hz are also only working through DisplayPort. If you have 2 PC connected to one Monitor, only 1 PC has 120/144Hz.
In near future they will build monitors where you can use HDMI for 144Hz or Gsync, perhaps it's also possible to connect more then 1 PC to the same monitor and perhaps possible to use on both connectors 144Hz.

Or you make it like me. I play with old CRT Monitors with 85 or 100Hz and any resolution i want between 800x600 and 2304x1440 on a 16:10 24" GDM Fw900. But in da Moment i play with Sony F931. No Input Lag, No Vsync, no ghosting and i don't need Hardware which is able to deliever 144Hz in any game.

Some 144Hz Monitors are WQHD, but most are FullHD.

Here the test from XB270 IPS-Gsync Monitor http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xb270hu.htm (HDMI+DP)
And here from the follower, the XB271 (IPS/GSync) http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xb271hk.htm which has also ULMB, but only DisplayPort)
Here a test from a Dell TN WQHD Gsync ULMB Display. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_s2716dg.htm
...
TN Panels have mostly washed out Colors, when using ULMB and 144Hz and IPS Monitors can have IPS Glow. You can read this in the Pro/Cons of the reviews.
