Re: Lest we forget

I know many people from Canada, U.K. and U.S. are familiar with this poem. I discovered it lately and found it beautiful.

Birds are singing, poppies are blooming and young people are dying. There is something which remains absurd.

Re: Lest we forget

We have a Scout Ceremony every Memorial Day in my Town. The poem is read aloud and I agree with how moving it is. It is followed by "Taps" with two trumpets. One at the Ceremony and one a quarter mile away at the Cemetery. You can hear BOTH from the site. The hairs will stand tall on the back of your neck.
