Re: Smartphones

My dad had bought 2 chinese smarphones and cracked their screens accidentally. He thinks he is so smart and can buy a good thing for cheap and it ends up in the trash with some money spent on it.
There is a proverb in russia that says : "we are not so rich to buy cheap things"

Also an electrotechnician whom i spoke with said that many chinese brands make very poor quality parts , for ex: thinner wires with less metal, thinner condensators with a lot of in them striped below the appropriate quality level. If foreign investors somehow +/- control the production line, the local is total bullshit.

My advice - don't do it man.

Really? Never heard of this proverb here. We usually say: "A greedy person pays twice". smile

thx for your thoughts, but i know many satisfied people  that bought some of these smartphones, and believe me, they raised the game, (quality), lately a lot... and i think that the hype with poor quality is just unwarranted.
however, of course ,there are still many shit mobile phone companies in china, and i know i wont going to buy these.
brands like CUBOT; ONEPLUSONE, DOOGEE and a few others are looking quite good.
i know i don't want to spend 600 $ for a samsung, and regarding poor wireing , well, that might be true, but i don't actually care much, because, we change phones once every year , and warranty is 24 months for the models i was thinking of buying

Re: Smartphones

If you want a chinese smartphone for that price, buy something from Huawei, Xiaomi or ZTE, they are very popular brands and quality is really good.
http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_hongmi-5609.php - $150, one of my friends got this, it's great

Re: Smartphones

The phone with these specifications is not bad
Note that battery is 2200 mAh which a bit low
Chinese phones have high depreciation rate...

Re: Smartphones

if you handle the equipment as you should, it would never break
it is logical that 4 or 5 inch display are big, and therefore, sensitive to (drops/kicks/pushes) etc.
which chinese cell phone company for you is good, and which are not, guys ?

Nice, I was going to buy Z2, but then Z3 came out so I switched to it. Are there any disadvantages? I see only positive reviews on the internet

the reason i bought this phone is because of the camera and the phone is waterproof tongue
and if you're phone once lost or stolen you can go to the website of sony to track your phone (What most phones do not have)
disadvantages are:
- phone gets fast scratches
- Non removable batery
- Furthermore, I have nothing to complain about

because it is made of glass not like s5 made of plastic, s5 can often fall but will cause little damage tongue
