just a few minutes ago in britain, i flew my junkers very high in order to make an sbd stall... he lost me, so far so good, but i lost control over the plane in the higher atmosphere and tried to save myself by going down again then it hit me... a japanese destroyer like 10.000 ft over the sea parking near a submarine

it is a modding trick, if you need some more soldierspawns you can rip them from boats, but the boats has to be in the map for this to work so usually the modder hides it really high up in the air

I remember those....be nice to have them back in Berlin...main road way up high...so blue and red can spawn on their boats side by side...eliminates base camping altogether and real fun multiple levels of game-play like 3D chess.

Haha there is no bird as serebro pointed out, the sound itself is defined in a SSC file (a special format for defining sound scripts in BF1942). I think it's called ''Birds.ssc'' or something like that, in the map's ''Sounds'' folder. So to find the source of the sound you would open that file and look at where the point (the coordinate of the sound on the map) is located. Although, when you think about it, the guy (or group of people) that made Eagle's Nest could easily have made a simple bird object right next to the sound, to make it look as if it was coming from a bird or group of birds. Lazy EA...

Also if I recall correctly, when I was modding the Sound files on BF1942 Secret Weapons I noticed another weird sound which was a soldier saying: ''Help, I'm trapped in an oil tank!''. Something like that. This game has funny stuff.

yeah, that sounds reasonable, thanks a lot! i will look for more stuff over additional spawns

i got on it today, it was a hard struggle in the junkers; in lack of atmosphere the proplellers had no sucktion so ihad to use the catapult effect from a looping

so i ran around and got in but suddenly we lost height rapidly...

best BoB round till now

The funniest is the crying when you bail from high altitude but not pull the chute. I ask myself if enemys can hear that.

But have you tried bailing from even much higher? Take a goblin in Secret Weapong, gain alot of altitude, bail out without opening parachute.
First you will hear screaming, after a while the players farts.
