Warning messages

I noticed that "warning messages" are shown too fast and people who play this game can't read them at time.

Same for the !nextmap command. I've seen many times people write !nextmap, !nextmap .. because they didn't see the message.

I think when people are new or almost new on server they don't know many things about local rules so they can't read it properly.

The duration of these messages is 1 second. I think it should be like 4 seconds at least.  Is it possible anyway?

Re: Warning messages

I did not know that about FPS value. So to fix it, edit your <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Settings\VideoDefault.con file, remove "renderer.lockFPS 240" or change 240 value to 60 or 100.

I have only

"rem ** A **
run Profiles/A/Video.con"

in this file... I open it with the Notepad.

Re: Warning messages

renderer.lockFPS works to type in the console if you want to test out different values

Re: Warning messages

I think FPS is limited to 100 by default, isn't it?

Re: Warning messages

Not with the 'speedpatch' it isnt. It unlocks the max FPS to 200.

(thats it, doesn't do anything else)

Re: Warning messages

No, no. Read carefully, please. Go to your <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Settings\ and open with Notepad the VideoDefault.con file. Remove "renderer.lockFPS 240" entry if there is one or change it to "renderer.lockFPS 100" and save file.

You forget about Profiles folder, the path is like this
<BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\<Your profile name>\Video.con

Re: Warning messages

It's editing VideoDefault.con file instead of Video.con. I've corrected my previous posts.
