Since I got a new connection with IPV6 and i'm currently back on my old PC it gives me this error when i try to join a server.
The guy warned me that it might get problems but on my notebook with win8 I can easily turn off the IPV6 but on XP this is not possible i think.
Any ideas?
its possible on xp

Data differs doesn't mean connection problem. It means you do not have the correct files to play on the server.
BF1942 full install + 1.6 + 1.61 Kobro ?

I thought so too but I haven't changed anything as far as i remember... what could cause it?
edit: ok, forget about it... problem fixed itself as it seems. strange!

Well done!
Check in your <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels folder if you have modified .rfa files of Aberdeen, Battleaxe, et cetera. If not, check in <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Archives\ if Objects.rfa and Textures.rfa are changed.
Your <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Archives\ has all original untouched files, looking at modified date from 2002 to 2004, so it is good there. Check your levels folder <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels sorting them by date, as ziba128 suggested, to see if any was recently modified, all vanilla map files should range date from 2002 to 2004. Check also if <BF1942 DIR>\Mods\bf1942\init.con file is modified.
my guess would be that some executable (exe/dll) file is tampered
I have replaced files 2 times from this link: http://team-simple.org/download/bf1942- … atched.zip but still not working..
I'm going to try 1.61.

Welcome back.
I have many maps like:
Battle_of_the_Bulge.rfa
Battle_of_the_Bulge_000.rfa
Battle_of_the_Bulge_003.rfa
Is it problem?
Hello, welcome!
No, that is not a problem. Those are original map files. Make sure you have BF1942 v1.61 installed, download and run BF1942 GameSpy patch to update game. After that, if you still have data differs error message, you have to check your Levels and Archives folder sorting by date, to see if any modified or new file is present there. Read these posts carefully: http://team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic. … 905#p60905
Done;)

You don't need any ISO to play...
