Mouse jittering

I believe i found my long lasting problems which are causing all the jittering and lagging in game. I´m still playing with my old mouse, which I had previous problems with, and now all the time it freezes during game, specially in close situations. Meaning it was already failling and now is just dead without notice.
I tried the mouse in another hardware, laptop, and the problem remained. I changed wireless to cable a month ago and it didnt resolve, so it must had been something out of the ordinary causing this fking problem for the last 9 months. I´ve ordered a new mouse and friday ill try it out. If the problem goes away ill be the happiest guy ever. If not, ill stop playing for good. Just frustrating.

Re: Mouse jittering

What mouse are you using, Lecter? And what mouse did you buy?
There is a fix, I have used, to remove mouse acceleration in games: http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.com/201 … ilder.html
However, this has nothing to do with jitter or lag. It is just a little improvement.

Re: Mouse jittering

my problems are finally solved, hopefully. Turned out, after buying new mouses, keyboards, installing all updates for drivers, etc etc etc, trying the game on my spare laptop, and considering buying a new pc for a +10 year old game, it was the FKING KEYBOARD settings causing all the freezes, not being able to turn, not being able to look up over the knee max, etc etc etc. I went to check those settings and the speed/repeat delay and repeat rate was all the way left=LONG and left=SLOW respectively. This why it felt so heavy playing, felt like I had bricks on my feet all the time thus i thought it was the mouse and lag causing it. Im such a noob, 9 months of headache for a simple thing....

There's a tool ... EasyToolz

With this you can set the CPU Affinity by game. I use it with Windows 7.

http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/hardware … olz-51553/

...

On newer windows with UAC on you can do it over Taskmanager too, but you have to run it as Administrator and this every time again. With easyToolz it works automaticly.

...

Besides the sharkon fireglider is a cheap good mouse. Myself i have a Coolermaster Storm Recon with the a3090 sensor, (pure optical, 4000 DPI max). I bought it for around 25 Euro, but it was a sopecial price. It's much smoother then a Lasermouse.

Re: Mouse jittering

...

There are 2 things.

> If you have a Gaming Mouse, try to reduce the polling rate to 500, then 1000 Hz

> If you have mouselags in game, reduce the max. prerendered frames via Graficdrivermenu for this game.

> There are newer Mainboards, where you can use USB's at 1000Hz too, specially AsRock. Reduce it also to 500 Hz

...
