Road to Rome and Secret Weapons event day
The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII weekly event day will start this Saturday. I'm going to announce it in the servers and how to download RtR and SW expansion packs.
Choose your favorite maps and suggest if maps should be modified to account for more than 30 players, like adding some jeeps, tanks, boats or whatever.

Sometimes on Telemark the capturing time for the Telemark's and Aerodrome's flags are out of proportion to the standard time frame. An enemy can be spawned twice in succession before the flag goes white. It's rare, but when it happens it's a pain in the arse.
Can you fix this bug ?

Question: Can you download the expansion packs from a torrent if you are using Origin?
What if you have it installed on CD (vanilla) and decide to download the expansion packs from a torrent, will it work?

If the most people like Essen, remove AW52 and add 2 spitfires instead. It's not possible to kill this noob plane, because axis have no planes in this map.

I think it will work, CD-key will be just overwritten in registry. Why do you need it?

The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons installers, you may download from torrent files at home page or download .zip packages directly (click respective links in the forum's announcement), will work on BF1942 Origin and CD installation, because installer automatically creates necessary registry entries for each type of BF1942, Origin or CD based.

Ok. I will check it.
If the most people like Essen, remove AW52 and add 2 spitfires instead. It's not possible to kill this noob plane, because axis have no planes in this map.
There are flakpanzers and also flaks at the corners of city.

There are flakpanzers and also flaks at the corners of city.
They are useless against AW52. He can be killed by rocket or another plane only.

Dont forget the trees ;p but the AW is possible to kill with flakpanzer easilly IMO i just aim in front of it and 4 +/- shots are making it smoke black.

For the most part the maps are smaller on the expansion packs, so it is easy to get into infantry combat if left without a vehicle. However I would try to make the maps a little different than on the RTR & SW server. Just my opinion though.

I saw many people were on yesterday morning. I was tempted to download but was confused. Is it like a mod where it just uses your regular BF1942 cd key number or is it all different like will it have any impact on regular BF1942 game?

Road to Rome and Secret Weapons expansion packs work exactly like mods, such as Desert Combat or Forgotten Hope. However, they require a CD-key present in registry to work. The installer creates this automatically for you.

I used to kill this plane and the rest with flakpanzer and i still love that beast!
Your "beast" have some dead zones, so, if pilot know them, flakpanzer can be killed easy from air. AW52 is perfect reactive bomber, for Essen he's too perfect.
Vs spitfires yes, flakpanzer is powerful, but not against this bomber. Also I think HO229 have less hp, than AW52.

As i supposed, the problem is main base attacking, on monte cassino allies have some priests which are firing from their base on german defenses , germans return with paks so when u warn some1 for base rape he just avoids that saying he was shooting that priest or other tanks shooting him... The problem is, that on sw+rtr u have weapons u can fire with them on base from long distance sometimes u can't see who's firing

I just thought about looking into this because of ''good'' enemy team and a good chance to use the AW52, I got this:

AW52 can be killed by aa or Flakpanzer IV, it´s just difficult if there is a good pilot in AW52.

So, I dislike realization of this event, because rtr-sw server is empty, that's wrong. Don't forget about usually rtr server, setting hellendoorn TDM only, that's boring. One kind of ppl like to play in 30+ server, others like when just 10-25 players on server (yes, I like this). If both servers will have a full maplist (instead full on no key and 1 map on rtr no key), that's will be nice.

So yes, I think that with the TDM also not nice ... it was before everything ok, no one has complained ... Why such changes take place without time to start a poll and the fans satisfied so over mouth to drive I do not find beautiful ....

The event is good to promote RtR + SW server. And for the players who use to play on RtR + SW it is an occasion to play with many players.
I agree TDM is not fun.

I think tdm hellendorn is fun but only with other rtr/sw maps, only hellendorn is boring

This time I agree to Satinca.
TDM is totally terrible. It sucks, is boring and makes absolutely no fun. If I wanted to play TDM I might as well go to another server. But that's why I go to SiMPLE since the maps are changed properly and everything is on Conquest.
Just interviewed the players / members.
