Battlefield's Finest Infantry

Hello all,

This is a message to inform you that I will be launching a pure infantry server starting June 1st 2013 (if everything goes well!). The server will be called ''Battlefield's Finest Infantry''.

The server will serve the American East Coast infantry clientele. If the server is popular and picks up good traffic, a server in central or western Europe will also be launched.

The server's general characteristics:

- If is infantry only, meaning nades and expacks are disabled by default and all vehicles are removed
- The server will run on v1.61
- 24 slots, 2 reserved for admin
- Friendly-fire will be turned on, look where you shoot
- The map rotation will consist exclusively of Berlin (CTF and CQ) as well as Stalingrad FFM
- Round time limit will be 40 minutes, times 5 rounds per map
- Server, of course, will have PunkBuster enabled and active admins
- Server will be hosted by GameServers for optimum performance
- Server should be hosted in New York
- High ping warnings start at 125 ms, but there will be no auto-kick for high ping

The general clientele and guidelines for my server are the following:

- Seasoned veterans and highly skilled players, BF League clan and team members are most welcome
- Team killers, trolls and chat spammers will be promptly kicked, and banned if their offenses persist
- Excessive bugging is punished by a kick, then a ban if it is repeated
- No duels allowed on the server, if you want to 1v1 go elsewhere
- Do not advertise and openly recruit members on the server
- No ''knife only'' rounds, ''snipe only'' rounds or ''bazooka only'' rounds. All weapons are allowed at any time unless specified otherwise by the admin

Some additional info:

- A website will be built for the server once it is live and gathers sufficient clientele. Xfire community should also follow
- I might make an official map pack for the server a bit later on
- Some nice events such as hosted cups and tournaments will be held on the server from time to time (infantry only, of course)

That's true, forget this then.

i hope this server has a password...

I should PW it and give the PW to BF League members... but then some people might give it away to noobs or people I don't want on the server. So no PW. We will control who is allowed to play based on their performance on the server (the admins that is).

Stats will be available on the website so people can look at their ratio and stuff.

This is no public server even if it is public, meaning the average skill level will be very high. It's very competitive too, as I said I might start throwing up some tournaments.

I edited my first post to mention that the server will be 24 slots, with 2 reserved for admins.

What about the server in Honolulu? My ping to Honolulu is the way better I guess.

lol who do you want to control?

the best active infs/players know each other much better as you think
so your control is useless, weak players will gain an equal level soon or leave
