Ideas and suggestions.

Hi everyone. I’d like to propose the following changes or ideas; some I consider necessary, while others are open to discussion.

1. There is a flaw on the Wake map: the northern village flag lacks an anti-aircraft (AA) gun. When the Japanese trapped the Americans down in that area, Japanese planes attack unopposed, which disrupts the balance of power. An AA gun should be added at that flag—for instance, within the sandbag semicircle located in the D3-D4 sector.

2. Maps removed from the rotation should still be playable if the majority votes for them. What I mean is that the server could be configured so that "discarded" maps never load automatically, yet remain available for selection if a majority votes to play them. I am referring specifically to the Kursk and Philippines maps (I would even include Operation Battleaxe as a non-auto-loading map), as I doubt I’m the only one who enjoys the Philippines map.

3. We could try modifying the Omaha Beach map. I would suggest introducing two US support ships to boost artillery capabilities via scouts, removing the beach flag, making the flag at the fortified positions uncapturable for the Germans (with its capture serving as the primary US objective), adding another German flag at the northern hause, and removing APCs. Additionally, to prevent Germans from seizing American tanks, we could restrict access to sector C5 by adding an automatic damage zone there. In my opinion, this would make the gameplay more realistic.

4. For maps featuring submarines, we should revert to earlier versions where the submarine itself did not serve as a spawn point. The issue with having a spawn point there is that if the player piloting the submarine exits to make repairs, the spawn point remains active; another player can then spawn inside the submarine and steal it, leaving the original player stranded in the middle of the sea. If the submarine's spawn point were removed, players would have to use an assault boat from one of the other ships to reach it, thereby avoiding the problem I described.

I don't know who decides on these changes, but I wanted to share my suggestions and ideas here.

I do not remember a time when the sub was not a spawn point.

Yes, there was a time when submarines didn't have a spawn point, so to get into one, you had to use a maritime assault boat (some people used planes, but that went against the rules because it was considered using a vehicle as a taxi). I’m talking about the era when the maps were a bit different—back when the [[Ax]] server was still active. That was later changed, just like other adjustments made to various maps; for instance, there used to be three planes per team on the Battleaxe map, more American tanks on the Battle of the Bulge map, and so on. That restriction on submarines worked well because it prevented the issues I mentioned: having some noob show up and steal the sub while you were repairing it, or spawning at that point without realizing another player was already outside.

Ah, stealing the sub.
I had that happen to me many times and then I drowned.
Very frustrating.

Yes, it’s frustrating because, even if an admin were to ban the offender, it’s already too late; you can’t get the submarine back, and you’re left in the middle of the ocean—swimming toward land knowing you won’t make it and radioing for a rescue that never comes.

Your in-game presence is much more frustrating rather then your every day reports
