Please help - unable to connect to server list

Hello.

Yesterday i played Bf42 and today the game cannot refresh the server list.
I have no clue why this occured.
Well, i'm desperately reinstalled the game and still nothing happens.
Strange enough, yesterday it worked, today it doesn't.
I install the game like this:

1. installing Bf42 v1.0 from an old disc.
2. game is being patched: battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19
3. Punkbuster42
4. battlefield_1942_gamespy_patch_v1.61
5. overwriting the 6 files from bf1942-v1.61-retail-patched
6. finally BF1942_-_master.bf1942.org_-_Patch.2

Anyone could imagine what the problem might be?
The game itself works just fine, it just cannot find any servers...

Only last one (master server patch) affects server browser. Most likely something went wrong during its installation. Try to install it manually from zip version https://www.moddb.com/games/battlefield … 2org-patch
You just need to replace your BF1942.exe file

Also, are you able to view http://master.bf1942.org/ from the same machine where your game is installed?  Just in case DNS resolution or outbound connections in general are broken somehow, and not just the in-game server list.

Yeah, after i found the in-game server list wasn't working anymore, i checked http://master.bf1942.org/.
Everthing was alright there, so i decided to install the game again. Didn't work at all, no uninstall or install buttons available.
Went through the registry and tried to uninstall manually, without success.
Well, it won't hurt to reset Windows 10. Did that and now everything's just fine again.
But the fact one day it worked and the other day it's totally fucked up still confuses me.
Probably i will never find out what the problem was, hopefully it won't occur again.
