There is a method to scrub the CO2 from air and convert it to something useful. But of course that process need energy to work smile

Dunno why development is so slow when it comes to energy, seems to me there have been many good ideas out there but then nothing happens and it just fades away.

Seen the "burning water" vids on youtube btw? Its a form of electrolysis but with vawes (radio/micro/X-ray cant remember exactly) instead of the more conventional method with electrodes or plates or whatever it is they use, still not cost effective of course, but it looks cool smile

The 109 for me feels like a flying a piece of brick, it can hardly turn or do any quick movements. yes the only advantage it has is that it climbs better/stronger then any other plane. All i can do when i fly it is to try to stay high and hope the other pilot makes a mistake.

With fps i meant the servers fps, theres no real documentation about it for the Refractor Engine but think tickrate

Games may limit the number of times per second that updates are sent to a particular client, and/or are sent about particular objects in the game's world. Because of limitations in the amount of bandwidth available, and the CPU time that's taken by network communication

more here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netcode

microseconds sounds impressive, (atleast to simple france server) but in reality the routing is even more important, i have had long discussions with "networks specialists" and but they simply dont get it because they dont play fastpace fps games.

Look at this shit, it all started when my ISP Telia started there internet tv drive, i dont think my stupid udp packets had much prio in there eyes.

Nope, it's stock on the simple USA server at full engine power.

I dont suppose your using wireless controls, have seen guys with wireless keyboards and its painful to watch. USB also is a form of serial chain with different prioritys ending in one single IRQ, but that doesnt seem to be a real problem novadays. Hardcore is those old soundcards with a dedicated gameport with its own IRQ configurable with jumpers smile

Anyway there is also a combination of server fps, combined with amount of players and amount of mods, its does have a impact and it is most noticable with planes.

Russ wrote:

The corsair rudder is overpowered in real life and even more so in bf1942. You can get yourself into some really wonky maneuvers by overworking the rudder on the corsair. The other planes in '42 can also fly sideways, it just takes a lot more work to get it to happen:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4Iv4kJNU-s

I fly with mouse so i cant get enough precision to fly like that smile  but i still think there is something more in play but just the rudder settings http://bfmods.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1964#p13541

The mustang in '42 is a great example of turning on a dime when at high speed, damn.

Planes have a cornering speed for a given altitude and load out at which they can turn at the fastest sustained rate. So you do have to be going decently fast to hit your cornering speed, but as you've experienced going faster than that speed makes it take longer to turn. You can turn at a faster rate, but you bleed off speed and your turn rate starts to drop.

I'll leave you with this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTK8DER887g

Yes, yes and yes! This is why i refuse to use the mustang in my servers. Sure you loose speed but in 90% that doesnt matter because then the other plane is doomed anyway.

The Stang is simply to good, it must be some balance. When i play against a good pilot and its really hard, if i then grab the Mustang it goes from hard to stupidly easy.

As far as the '42 departing from controlled flight, I mean something like this

I  see, but in that specifik vid it seems something is more wonky than usual, like i mentioned before bad connection (engine powerloss) or possible some modding gone wrong?!

There is also is some tricky things with the physics when they programmed the game, many things is like inverted so if you for example raise the mass of a ship or whatever it it doesnt get slower (like in heavier) but the exact opposite, and most surreal, the faster you fly the faster you can turn, like 180 degree on a daim. I tried a realistic plane simulator and it was not at all like in bf42.

In the first vid i stalled out at around 2:55

I really dont have much clue of where i have my ass in the "3D" perspective when i fly or where the enemy should end up in that 3D in comparasion to speed and angles and all such things. Its why i always try to get a camera angle where i can see the enemy, mostly so i can avoid him until (hopefully) he makes a mistake like flying into my aim smile
