@uuz well, I hope your employer rewards you. The desync issue is not only present in BF42, it exists in new games as well like CS2. Cracking down on it by simply fixing some code is not gonna do it I believe. Most traces lead to electricity/grid and windows install to be the culprits. It exists on your computer. Sometimes you can "fix the game code" simply by changing the usb ports of your mouse and kb, or plugging your monitor into a different wall socket. It is an exciting topic but the plebs here want to remain oblivious. I've brought it up since 2017 on this forum
@darcano I have an older laptop which supports both bios and uefi - installing windows on it one way or the other drastically changes the way bf42 behaves, especially flying. It may be different for others, I've confirmed it on 3 machines.

Yes, purty much. Because the desync issues begin with your pc and windows installation. For example flying is lightyears better on fat32 UEFI systems than on MBR. However tanking or infing is better on MBR. Depends on the rig too. There is so much going on
Another funny thing is with snipers
So, whenever someone used to say that this guy or that guy is a really good inf or a pilot, It's just that their system allows them to be but also limits them to that particular class.. you can be an unkillable sniper but the minute you pick up the medic class, you're getting hit from everywhere

A little side note regarding modding; yes the obvious vehicles, spawn times and things you can see but also some not so obvious things.
The game mechanics have been doctored on simple, maybe only better players could see it. It's especially obvious on infantry maps which are not playable even for the top tiers. When players go to moongamers they see an instant difference.

You must've hit your head pretty hard. Server owners and a number of egg heads have spent countless hours trying to make the game a bit more equal for exactly noobs like you who always complained when better players joined, to keep you from leaving. It's their own miscalculation too as it turns out when everyone is kind of equal the game becomes utterly boring and far from what it used to be - you got that right. But you at least as a proud noob from the bottom of the scoreboard should be happy when you get those few ridiculous kills on better players now thanks to all kinds of modding. sigh

Killer, this isn't about DM at all. Think about the motives of such tryhard posts, it's laughable. It's about revenge through admins and winning hearts. Sadly most (western) europeans fall for it too easily, all you need is a fake smile and pretty words and of course the race card, they'll believe you right away. Europe is on its knees thanks to that kind of gullible attitude and everyone keeps abusing it these days.

This AI is so over hyped. Sure it can find some things for you and make automated processes faster but the real AI will never be available for peasants if there is one. Kinda like those smart watches, curved tv's, voice assistants and so on - for the average person they don't give any advantage over those who don't use them, just gimmicks

Yes.. my point was that eveyone knows this, this is what high ping is. But the patch is still a crazy good improvement
