use this method and see if your net speed rises
1-Run cmd as administrator
2-type "netsh interface tcp show global"
3-in the appeared list find Receive Window find "Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level" check the statement from the front line if its "normal" then type "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled"

follow the below step
1-go to your bf1942 directory
2-navigate to mods/bf1942/Movies
3-change the name of file "background.bik" to another thing
this one at least worked for me
P.S: this is not 100 % helpful as u still get the blankscreen but it reduces it

Religions shouldn't influence the judgements of Admins on this server. Period. One month punishment is way too much.
