By the way, Windows XP SP3 compatibility still gave me lots of crashes so I set the compatibility to Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5, and now it's much better. If any of you are still having problems, you can try this.

Ok seems to work. Sunny´s a magican. But I would like to have my resolution slightly different. Can someone tell me how to stretch the 800x600 resolution to the whole widescreen? I always played like that and I don´t wanne change it.
Maybe you can try to set the resolution of your desktop to 800x600 first and then start the game.
Btw this freeware makes it easier to change the resolution very quickly: http://www.chip.de/downloads/MultiRes_13007417.html

As far as I know wearing a headscarf ingame is not allowed because enemy soldiers cannot see you.

bypassing is easy, can be done via hosts file (changing ip for master.gamespy.com) or by editing the .exe file and replacing that string there (preferably in some already modified version like that widescreen one that has some checks patched)
i actually hacked together a master server replacement few weeks ago to test whether it's feasible, still needs dynamic server registration added but that's trivial (currently it sends a predefined list of servers to clients)

Hi guys,
There are some old names that I added to my buddy list a long time ago, now some people use these nicks and I wanted to remove them from the buddy list but they just get marked green again after short time later.
Does anybody know a solution to this problem?

Yes it works with the original version. My first step after reinstalling the game has always been to just delete the video files. Never had any problems because of it.
