Follow the war as it happened … updated 70 years after the event.
It's a recommended site to visit to those who like WWII history. It has a particular event for every day, sometimes with photographs. A week ago was Battle of the Kursk, biggest tank battle in WWII history.
That dead soldier lying there makes me sad.
me too.. bad soldier! good soldier- alive soldier

It is a very good site, thanks mate! And seventy, war in general makes me sad. I would just let the leaders fight in a duel. No need for a loss of 10000000 innocent lives...
Hitler and Stalin should have fight in MMA cage till death, that would be amusing to watch,
nice site
oh please...
history facts should never be hidden from the public!
the truth hurts... but should be told to everyone!
we must know what present we have by learning from the past... making a better future if possible!
I'd recommend this FB page (if you're registered there): http://www.facebook.com/worldwar2?ref=s … ion=stream

nothing left behind!
Not sure if there is some WW2 stories topic but i will just go ahead here.
Today I came across the story of a good friend of my grandparents talking about this guardian angel.
In february '45 he had the order to bring a FW190 to another airport near Berlin. Soon after the start and while climbing the engine had some fatal disfunction and he was going down in a forest. Stuck in the burning wreck with a broken arm he somehow managed to get out and fell on the gorund next to the plane while his body was on fire and the ammo of the machineguns explode next to him. Luckily there was a ditch with water right next to him so he rolled in to stop the fire. Next thing he remembered was him laying on a firefighter truck and a guys telling the driver to slow down because he won't make it anyway. He lost consciousness and woke up 6 days later in a military hospital. His feet, legs and hands were burned badly, he had a double skull fructure, the broken arm and several other wounds. OH and he was just 22 years old when this happened!
That's one part of the story summarized quickly. He added that from 28.000 fighterpilots only 1400 survived and he's happy that he is one of them.

Since the mid-20th century, the world has only ever heard one side of an incredible story. The story of a boy from an ordinary family whose ambition it was to become an artist, but who instead became a drifter.
His destiny however was not to drift into the awaiting oblivion, but to rise to the greatest heights of power, eventually to become one of the most influential men who ever lived.
Now for the first time, here is a documented account of a story many believe to be…
The Greatest Story NEVER Told!
Learn the untold story about the most reviled man in history. Adolf Hitler, The Greatest Story Never Told is a 6-hour Documentary by TruthWillOut Films.
This ground-breaking documentary chronicles the rise of Germany from defeat in World War I, to communist attempts to take over Germany; hyperinflation during the Weimar Republic, widespread unemployment and misery, and Adolf Hitler’s rise to power.
It also reveals a personal side of Adolf Hitler: who he was, his family background, his artwork and struggles in Vienna and what motivated him to come to power.
There’s so much hidden history to recount; FDR Pearl Harbor conspiracy, Soviet brutality, betrayal and treachery on all sides. Do we really know the true cost of war? Do we really possess all the facts?
Watch this series and uncover the real root causes of World War II. Do your own research and decide what you choose to believe. Think differently.
