Yes, it was horrible. Actually, our team was first at the qualifiers (higher than Portugal) and there were a lot of expectations, but something goes wrong with this championship. Hence this championship is full of surprises, I bet on Algeria today and I also want to see USA team at the finals because they really deserve it.
Still not bad to be first even with Portugal. But nomax said all the time that Portugal is very bad because of the coach. They are on 4th place in the FIFA rankings... FIFA ranking doesn't mean nothing in a WC.
Russia will be better till 2014, but i don't know if Capello is the right coach for this task. Algeria did a very good job, it is not a shame to be 3rd behind Algeria and Belgium. Against South Korea Russia started to play football after the Mistake. It was too late.

Which is very good, but like i said, Ghana and Portugal didn't play their best football. A WC depends on many things... for example, if you have many player from top teams which play a lot of matches because of CL or whatever, they can be too tired. Or when your coach suck or you have no team spirit, you can't play a good WC. In Europe it is much harder to qualify for the WC than in North America. Just watch the group of USA at the qualifiers.
And you put Russia here? Where are the stars from Russia. What I saw vs. Korea was horrible.

I don't think USA is upper average but they are not bad.
The whole team is only worth about 58 million. Messi is about 120 million worth.

And FOOTBALL has become more popular since 1994 when the WC was there. The strongest team was in 2002 i think, when they almost kicked out Germany.

USA plays Belgium tomorrow. Who is expected to win?
From what I've heard around here is that USA wasn't expecu to win anything lol. Not even there coach expected it. I guess he did a interview awhile ago and said he would be happy if they even qualified to go down there. So I guess they are doing much better than expected lol that's so sad.
The coach is just being realistic. He has no US spirit like "yes we can everything"... USA was lucky that Ghana and Portuagal sucked. But they play with heart and that is why i think USA can win the game with a bit luck. Belguim has a lot of good player from top teams though. You are such a big country and you had a WC in your country 1994. Where are all the kids who started playing football at 1994?

It depends too much on the referee. Brazil will only reach the final with a referee on their side. They didn't convice me.
Chile - Columbia
France - Germany
Mexico (Played very good, they can beat the Nederlands for sure) - Costa Rica
Argentinia - USA (Belgium is better, but I think USA will make it)

I didn't df Ivo for a while, but since he beat me i improved. So i can not tell how good Ivo is exactly, but i think he could have a very good game vs. Raptor aka lilipad. I would like to see Vale too, but he is not active i think. Let's wait for Sundae, he will do a good job.

Despite I'm italian, I'm happy that Italy has been knocked out.
Worst team ever, leaded by an overrated idiot (Balotelli).
I also hope that Uruguay will be kicked out soon, because they're only unfair assholes.
Italy are not unfair? Playing on time all the time and as Uruguay shot a goal they were suddenly in hurry.
Balotelli is good guy and good player... Immobile was bad.
