(PCO = Player Controlled Object)
I will try connecting to objects from existing maps, if it works we dont have to place every objects in each map, but just linking everything to a "resource map"
Its for building a "simple-map" (or maps), and yes i think small things like this can go a long way for improving gameplay.
Here is an idea, try to make a moving controlpoint, maybe on a train or something like that.
I could try make this work serverside, not sure its possible tho.
Just an idea for a small bf42 improvement. I use bocage-coop as testing ground, file here for test or building. http://bfo.pm/simple_maps/
Everyone is welcome to contribute with ideas and/or testing out own stuff.

This movie is going to be great! It is a cyberpunk live action movie based on a manga series. It has Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, and a couple other good ones.
James Cameron movie, cant miss!
i remember bud and merlin. bud personally report me about 3 people.
Wasnt me, anyone can copy a forum name so i never use it ingame.

Hmm i cut out a lot of unnessesary networkinfo, some engines and what not that doesnt have any sound anyway. I guess you seen i made an axis and a allied version (just the names, u can change to own liking)
I dont remember the exact code for the hud toggle, but yes it can be changed. Ill look into it, witch button should be used?
edit: two engines netinfo (invisible help engines) and the rudders netinfo.
Made a patch file with extra key binding to ConsoleScript #5 and put it on numpad 1 to toogle hud on/off

edit2: im really interested how this works with many players, if the lag is a bit less or totally gone.
Cheers!
edit3: I made a server as im curious how the modded flettners works.
How about one infantry map, one mixed vehicle map and one all-out map? (maybe one for plane nerds too?)
80 ping but feels like 10
10 years old maybe.
Okay, so anyone feel like organizing this? You will get the force of the f-stick to guide you.

Its not easy to find a good host, when i first checked out a server in usa it had like perfect connection, but after i rented it and after some month or so it started to get conn-errors, then when i checked it again it was on a node that was named something like lagg or spam node. And thats not the first time that happend, doesnt matter witch host it is. Only good experience i have is with hosts in germany.
Thats good everyone should have high ping to server
I have like 35-45 ping, but feels like 145. ![]()
Tv analog system, 60 hz ntsc (usa). Some apparatus use/used net frequency for sync purposes.
------------------------------------
Old 60Hz trafos (linear power supply) is bigger physically, you can feel the difference in weight and size if you have a older one at home for a mobilphone or something the like.
A linear power supply normally operates around 60% efficiency for 24V outputs, whereas a switch-mode power supply operates at 80% or more.
https://www.circuitspecialists.com/blog … vs-linear/
Switched-mode power supply
The inverter stage converts DC, whether directly from the input or from the rectifier stage described above, to AC by running it through a power oscillator, whose output transformer is very small with few windings at a frequency of tens or hundreds of kilohertz.
The chute is acting like a high ping server, if i get thrown up in air from bomb splash or the like, i cant get the shute out before i land.

Thanks Bud. So if I'm taking your meaning correctly, we're saying "designed for low voltage" is a UPS that is designed to "never invert back up to AC power." AC is transformed and stepped down to DC to charge the battery, but the device connected to the UPS is always running on DC, regardless of whether we're on battery or not.
If so, that's exactly what the Verizon FiOS ONT's UPS is, and I just never thought or realized to acknowledge the efficiency difference that makes. Just always thought of it as "purpose-built" for not being able to power anything but a 30v DC device; but not "and they would intentionally choose this design because its more efficient to have it this way, too."
Or am I missing the point still, and you are talking about a design that still applies even when there are AC outlets on the UPS?
Yes and no
Your Verizon UPS seems to be built for one purpose, witch is the best solution of course, but if its universal then it still has to do that conversion to ac. An UPS for small wattage can pinpoint the sweetspot of the conversion for the amount of energy needed. Also a big one might need say 20 watt just to drive its own circuits, where a small one might use say 5 watt.
Modern switched psu´s use DC internally, so the first thing it does is to convert the incoming AC to DC. (then back to ac again but at a much higher frequency like 150-300 kHz (less losses in trafo))
In reality there is not much electronic that needs more than a few volt to operate, a cpu is down to something like 1.2 volt now, memory use like 1.35V volt and so on, the fans use 12 volt of course but thats much from convenience.
A tv might use the 60Hz from the powersupply for syncing purposes.
I would like to see if there is any interest in making a "team-simple" map, like if the gamers and modders in here could work together and make a really nice bf42 map or two.
Or just use one or two of the existing maps as a base and make them a bit more modern perhaps. For instance one could make them "base-rape proof" if that is desirable.
I know the math I just don't know how much I'm using in my PC with all the diff components. I'm thinking it's probably around 350w or so. After looking up some specs, I've concluded that I'm running about 365 watts on my PC
I can't go to Best Buy and ask because they treat me like a retard and tried to sell me a $500 one yesterday.
You need something like this
bestbuy https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/me … 63984.aspx
walmart https://www.walmart.com/ip/P3-Internato … r/14282370
Maybe someone else has heard of something designed to "run small things for long times" that's even more specialized than this, but that doesn't ring any bells for me.

Simply put its the amount of electronics built in the device, it takes more power the more you add. For instance your ups has some logic circuit that needs power to run (even if small)
Principal of PSU, converting dc to ac, principal of PSU, converting ac to dc
A PSU to a computer has a sweetspot where its the most effective (usually somewhere at 50% peak power) now the UPS does the same thing but in reverse - converting dc to ac and it has the same thing where it will operate most effeciently. If you get 80% energy out between each conversion its considered ok.
Badly explained but hopefully somewhat understandable. ![]()

I read about "low power, long lasting" UPS for low wattage things like modems/routers. They can keep them up for 2 or 3 hours
Check the power output on the routers adapter first, a usb powerbank can supply 5 volt for many hours.

I will always look to repairing anything as long as that repair is cost effective and that's the problem! Recently had a tumble dryer problem a Bosch to be exact and to repair the unit was going to cost more than it was to buy a new one, how the hell does that work? I work as a field service engineer many years ago and in those days you could build a new dryer or washer by ordering spare parts and making it for about 50% the cost of new so what changed?
Weird how things pop up in youtube after writing about the subject on a game forum
(i didnt google on this either)
