Hej hej Casca.
I hope that match happens soon too..

l'amour est bleu

Some guy banned _everyone_ on the server.
"1" started banning ID #1-5 for exploits, whereupon everyone else became a target as well. I thought it was legitimate at first, seems not. Should be more discerning when it comes to handing out these rights I guess..
Eerily even. Both won the BF109 rounds, 4 to 5.
Screenshots taken using the Print Screen button are saved to the "ScreenShots" folder in the Battlefield 1942 install folder.
Not an unreasonable bet judging by what I've witnessed in-game. :')
Rossi's schemes and ploys have been debunked so thoroughly it's embarrassing to see people still linking to his "projects". He's nothing but a con-artist and fraudster. It would've been neat if it were to reach fruition in the future though.

Been hovering around -15C in Oslo, Norway (59.9500° N, 10.7500° E). This weekend temperatures will rise into very welcome positives though.
I remember watching this as an envious 14-year-old as other members of Battlefield.no went to Denmark for BasseLAN. ![]()
Both the US and Europe use significantly less oil now than before 2008, a sure sign of weakened economies. People drive less and have adapted habits to the new reality. Oil may be "flooding" the markets, but it's increasingly of a lower-quality, lower-EROEI variety, and therein lies the problem. If one accounts for EROEI, supply may not even be increasing at all, despite some millions of barrels per day of capacity having been put online.
While being a net exporter is a "world of hurt" right now, it's worse than being a net importer in the long-term, which is the fate of most of the Western world besides a few select countries.
Nobody used to dogfight by going inverted to evade shots back in 2002-2003, but now it's mainstream and incessant. Maybe I need to get with the times?

Maybe it's possible to manufacture, but consider the quantities you need: 15000 million litres per day. More if you consider that there's 200,000 people born every day, some 80 million added to the world's population annually.
Also, it needs to have a decent EROEI to support civilization and the Western lifestyle (which has BF1942 gaming as one of its components <3), something along the lines of 1:20 input:output. More is better.
Barring a monumental breakthrough it's simply not possible. I generally don't entertain conspiracy theories. The current worldwide recessions are all stemming from dwindling supplies of high-quality, high-eroei hydrocarbons, the single-most important commodity of this world.
The dynamics of socializing in Scandinavia

No alternative energy source is able to contend with the density and convenience of hydrocarbons, alas.
Would've been nice though. Right now the world is burning like 14130 million litres of oil, 2346886 tons of coal and 9093150684 cubic metres of natural gas every day. There's simply no realistic way to replace the 286 TWh consumed every day by other means. Sucks!
I played the demo a lot at my friend's house. I bought the full game at release, but could only play on 16 player CTF servers with 60% view distance and everything on low for about a year, because of the shortcomings of my Nvidia TNT2 GPU and AMD Duron 800MHz CPU.

I'd like to join!
My Windows 10 experience running Battlefield 1942 has been chequered.
On my desktop computer everything runs flawlessly without needing to tamper with compatibility und so weiter.
On my laptop, however, I need to create desktop shortcuts with "+restart 1 +joinServer host:port" at the end of the path. If I try to join games from the in-game browser I will get a perpetual black screen during map loads or map changes.
