Btw. Try once inGame, (if the Resolution on DP does not work as it should), to disconnect the DP Cable, then put it back on, go to the InGameMenu and see if the other resolutions popped up.

1. Try once run "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1" via console and then look again.
(Check nvidia Battlefield 1942 Game Profile).

Yep, ... and could it be, you have no DirectPlay activated? (Legacy Components).
You can try a direct Connect Link to the server.
Copy your existing Bf1942 link and add this " +restart 1 +joinServer 194.88.105.25:14567" (without quotes) to it, after "*\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe"

Du kannst nicht wissen, welcher Admin da war. Das spielt am Ende aber auch keine Rolle.
Wenn's ein Fehler war, ... Fehler passieren.
Aber sich darüber derart aufzuregen? Ich versteh schon, dass einem mal der Kragen platzen kann, aber Du musst auch verstehen, dass es in den letzten Monaten für Admins viel zu tun gab und da einige bei erkennbarer Anwesenheit derer sich zwar korrekt, andersrum aber unflätig aufführten, macht es schon auch Sinn, dass Admins Inkognito spielen.
Ich spiel immer mit demselben Namen, warne aber auch meistens die Leute. Aber es kommt auch vor, dass ich, wenn's Überhand nimmt, auch einfach mal einen 15 Minuten-Ban gebe. Als Beispiel, wenn in Bocage diverse zu den Flugzeugen fahren.
Wenn Du also erst grad eingeloggt bist, weisst Du ja nicht, was davor abging.
Aber ich verstehe Deinen Frust.
Nimm's wie's ist, schüttel den Frust ab und geh weiter

Just deinstall that AVG Trash.
Since Windows 10 there's no need for an external AV/IS solution.
In contrary. It makes your system slower and it needs itself access to deep systems sections to work.
Spybot is a tool to desinfect in older times. No need to run it like this.
If you go out, i guess you do not wear 3 pair of shoes, ... do you?
Just deinstall that AVG, stop Spybot to work in the background, (and others, if you have).
