To be honest, the Allies win this map more times than they should given the Axis advantage.
All depends on how switched on the Axis are and how they play as a team with experienced players in the mix and an inteliigent apc driver.
Stating the bleeding obvious I know as that applies to any map.
Parachuting in from behind may just skew it a little further towards the Allies but over the beach would definitely improve the odds for Allies if the huns have set up their sunbeds.

Good shout, would be less likely to kill teammates storming the ramp.
Only problem is they would be quickly taken out by the def guns as the pak operator would need line of sight.
Another priest tucked round the corner would be better.

In the UK fixed speed cameras are highly visible, and any mobile speed traps are posted on a website ahead of deployment so at least you can check your journey before setting off.
It's all part of informing the driver that he needs to watch his speed, not catching him out.

Sadly as mentioned in another thread, it's getting to the stage where every player needs to record their sessions as evidence against accusations.

I guess you run the risk of collateral damage when returning fire at hostiles in main base.

Interesting. Never heard of doing that, and have never taken mine off of "LAN" regardless of which server I'm on or how many people.
What the symptoms suggested to me -- rightly or wrongly -- is that the CPU or GPU isn't keeping up. As soon as there is "real work to do" with actual players in the proximity and lots of things needing to move on the screen, it's the computer itself that is slowing down. That the ping rises is just a secondary effect of this. Because of the computer being too busy to respond in a timely manner to network sends and receives, same as it's struggling to keep up with what needs to update on the screen.

Can't believe he's running a pc that would have these issues with a game that's almost 20 years old unless he's still running a 486 or Pentium with 4 meg of ram.
Try booting up in safe mode with network and run a continuous ping test and see what fluctuations you are getting.
Try again in normal mode and see if you get the same response times.
Check for malware.

I will still be playing this game 5 years from now and beyond.
I have Post Scriptum, BF1, BFV, Hell Let Loose and all the other BF games that followed.
Purchased and downloaded but apart from loading up to check they work I haven't played them.
BF 1942 still does it for me.
Being a sentimental old git because I remember playing Gazala in the early hours after my wife retired to bed, I'm talking 2002 by the way.
Love this game so much the theme track is going to be played at my funeral.
What a send off
Rare epic rounds like this Market Garden remind me why this game is a classic.

I like reading radio commands on how to gain a foothold against a strong enemy.
Omaha is predictable tactic wise, let them Nazis steal our sunbeds on the beach and we will reclaim them with a vengeance.

Never been in that situation before, reading the tactical chat concerning how to approach the beach.
Go left, go right, get a foothold on the beach.
Those dastardly Huns had it all boxed off.
We needed to work out a strategy for this particular situation, out of the norm for this map but work it out and it makes for a great battle.

Played this round tonight and we were slaughtered.
Germans invaded the beach and playing as Allies it was a massacre.
I enjoyed it, made it more real trying to capture the beach.
It might set a precedent for the Axis on how to win this map but what a blast as Allies, like the beach scene on SPR trying to get a foothold on the beach.
Much more realistic working out tactics on the ship before getting in the boat.

What a match, respect to the admin that turned off the timer.
Axis were down for most of it but some intelligent APC driving from SS Venom doing the rounds, good team play, timer turned off and we won it by 7 points.
Good job admin and Venom, best round of Market I've played in a long while

i am sorry i had to use the kill command on you. in a situation like this it is important to fill all the aa guns on our carrier. when you are in the aa gun and press 2 you switch to other aa gun in the front of the ship. there is 4 aa guns and only 2 was manned. this is the reason we was raped so badly. again, i'm sorry to ruin your gaming evening by using the kill command. but the team was loosing partly to your actions/in-actions. i hope i see you on the server again soon.

(Edit) Makes more sense now I've read your follow up post clarifying things but still poor reasoning on your part to justify using the 'kill' command.
It's a bonus if you can get anyone to man the carrier AA guns on Coral.
I was the only guy manning AA for Axis in this game ( on my ship anyway) and switching around as needed.
Making judgements about why your team are playing so badly and acting on it isn't cricket old boy.
By that logic you should have kicked every one of your team that wasn't engineer class.
