Can we do this again? Anyone down, let me know.
Seems I predicted France v England correctly. Should have made a bet.

I'll update this first post for as long as it is available to edit.
Nice topic, well organized. This would also be very useful to have on a simple HTML page, before you enter the SiMPLE forums.

Hello all,
Following the success of the first TDM tournament, I've decided to host a second one.
The format of this tournament would be very similar to the first one, except this time all weapons are allowed on all maps for complete chaos.
If you love racking up kills, this is the tournament for you. The only goal here is to get the most frags, nothing else.
The champion of the previous tournament is KILLER88.

Here is a video of the previous TDM tournament:
https://youtu.be/tVHn5C72ZeA
Here is some additional information:
General info
- A maximum of 20 players can register to the event
- The date of the event will be early January 2023
- Registration is done on a first come, first served basis as usual
- Registration will be entirely handled on the SiMPLE forums, NOT on Discord
- Two maps will be played: rf_labyrinth and rf_cut
- Two 20 minute rounds per map. The total length of the event will be 80 minutes
- The server for the event will be hosted in Germany
- Contestants from Europe are preferred as this is an infantry tournament
Rules
- All weapons are allowed, except explosives. This is a pure infantry event
- Friendly-fire will be turned ON
- Unlike the previous event, all players will move on to the next map, regardless of score. So everyone is given a second chance if they don't get a high frag count at the end of a round
- All contestants will play two rounds on each map: one on the Axis side, the other on the Allied side
- Recording your gameplay is highly recommended, but not mandatory
- The use of cheats (illegal Archives (RFA files), illegal Configuration files (CON files), illegal console commands, cheat engines, DLL-injections, etc) or server crash exploits are strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent banishment from the tournament and all future events hosted by Golden Gun
- The use of bugs (double-jump bug) and glitching (entering buildings from entry points other than doors or windows) is strictly forbidden and will result in a ban from the tournament
- Do not camp the health packs
- No chatting will be allowed during live tournament rounds
Armament
- All contestants will spawn with the same kits, regardless of the map. The weapon kits for each side differ. Each weapon kit comes with 7 throwable knives, a pistol (Walter P38 or Colt depending on the faction) and a shotgun for close quarters combat. Here is a breakdown of the weapon kits available, grouped by main weapon:
Axis
- Sniper kit: Gewehr43 sniper rifle
- Assault kit #1: FG42 automatic rifle
- Assault kit #2: MP40 submachine gun
- Assault kit #3: StG44 assault rifle
Allied
- Sniper kit: No4 sniper rifle
- Assault kit #1: Bren light machine gun
- Assault kit #2: Sten submachine gun
- Assault kit #3: Bar1918 light machine gun
On top of these weapons, a single Thompson submachine gun kit will be placed in the center area of each map. The Thompson SMG will hold an extra clip.
Please note that none of the kits contain a med pack. On both tournament maps, players can heal themselves by walking over health packs placed in different areas of the maps.
Maps
The first map will be the rf_labyrinth map, from my Raised Fist infantry-only mod. The map was originally made by the player Smig, and ported to my RF mod by me. It is a fight for middle labyrinth map which is ideal for close quarters combat. The center area will have a walk-over health pack and a Thompson kit. Whoever controls this central area can win the map with ease.
The second map will be the rf_cut map, an infantry-only map which was originally made by the player Nateos Tommy and ported to RF by me. It is a very small and compact map which offers infantry firefights on three different levels: below the ground in tunnels that connect the Axis spawn area to the Allied spawn area, on the surface of the ground, and in different stories of a building and on rooftops. Again, a Thomspon kit will be placed in the central area of the map, and walk-over health packs remain available.

Hello member!
If you have nothing to contribute, I ask you not to post anything. I'd rather you continue with trying to lose weight and control your triglycerides.
Regards
Lmao there’s a forum section for other languages you dumb fuck, go post there instead.

Any info on the event? What maps will be played for example.
I don’t know what the f**k you guys are sayin
Not to disappoint you or anything though Ringo, making a clan in this day and age with NEW players is near impossible. To be able to field 8 players for a PCW or a league war, you need 16 active players.
But best of luck.
I'm predicting that the winner of the France v England match will go on to win the WC.
I'm putting my money on France. I think they will win it 2 - 1, but it will be a hard fought match.
Would anyone like to create a new clan that could play bf-league in the future?
Anyway, I'm willing. ^^
BF-League would certainly need it, with an anemic number of clans (just 5 for this season).
Cool, thx Killer (and Denny!)
give me your tank, i'm killing you and your friends with it

That was painful to watch. What a bunch of noobs lol.
Last event we had around 20 people on the Strasbourg Day 2 and Into Saipan maps.
It’s a WW2 game, you will see plenty of these nicks on the server. Not much can be done about it.
It would be to play some custom BF1942 maps, one which I made and perhaps another one.
Will we see more of these events in the near future Paul?
I was thinking, how about setting up some 10v10 or 12v12 “organized matches” with a commander, on TS, guiding the team? We could do different maps and game modes.
Hi guys,
Would anyone like to play more mix wars, maybe closer to Christmas?
This mod is carnage

There is not much consensus here, but we can all agree that aX died because lack of players. Now, when we take a look at the server settings and game experience, then for some reason SiMPLE is copying that exact style:
-always the same map rotation
-short spawn times for players (this is the worst of all)
-overly modded maps..which leads to:
-many inactive players
-many tks
-no motivation to attack a.k.a unbalanced games for either side.and in the end an empty server. The server and the game is kept alive by the top half of the score board, not the bottom
or maybe 90% of players die each 10 seconds due to broken game netcode vs same players all time after return of some players
I keep telling you guys this. Play BF1942 v1.6, the regs are much better, at least in infantry.
Sadly i have to spoil this and reveal to you that Croatia will win the world cup
Looking forward to the Canada vs Croatia match.
To the brilliant minds among us: is there a way for a client to export the playerlist/slot-ID to a file
during a map? A function which could be built? If so, then it should be possible to convert that
data using RegEx, and activate it during game. With the current platform accepting player-slots rather than nics, I would need to ignore all:
chatoff.txt
chat.addToIgnoreList 0 chat.addToIgnoreList 1 chat.addToIgnoreList 2then unignore chosen players manually at each mapload. ...Pain in the pooper.
Another thought was to use the buddlylist as an input:
game.addPlayerToBuddyListByName "I <3 chatspam" game.addPlayerToBuddyListByName "teamkillerd00d" game.addPlayerToBuddyListByName "troll01"yet the player-slot data is still unknown.
Thoughts?
Edited for [hopefully] a clearer understanding
Doesn’t enabling player statistics collection on the server already do that (check the CSV file or XML logs)?
I’ll be happy if Canada makes it out of the group stages. We haven’t qualified for the WC in 36 years.
Thanks, makes sense now.
Any update?
Also would it be possible to pin this thread please.
Nice. It's pretty solid. https://www.moddb.com/games/battlefield … ed-mod-rc1 Builds onto it, taking the 2 maps already converted plus the "new" Invasion of the Philipines (US v JAP) map and adds the rest of the 1942 1.6 vanilla maps plus a ww2-themed reskin of the BFV UI. Have got both running on my BFV server but if you're going to have something conquest with a few folks I'll try come along.
Only thing worse about BFV hitreg is when targets are running at or near perpendicular (across the screen without movement toward/away) to the player. Basically unhittable regardless of where you place the shot with any light weapon, even MG's. That aside, it's otherwise better generally.
Yeah I’ve noticed that too. The key to fixing this issue probably lies in the Animations.rfa, and would require patching it with a client side modification. There’s a couple of things I already fixed in that archive to make the physics more 42 like.
