@Assi: Did that Berlin map had grenades enabled? I remember playing Berlin with grenades on Netorn and it was impossible for the russians to leave their headquarters. Then, they put a Katyusha rocket launcher but I can't recall if they disabled grenades.

The problem with kickback, even a lower value, as you said, is you get instantly killed if someone of your team steps over your landmines.
It's not possible, only if you could change the server executable code, which is a lot of hassle.

There is a spawn time delay to those who teamkill, not much though.
Soldier friendly fire will be lowered or even disabled, the others vehicle friendly fire and soldier splash damage (grenades and exppacks) will remain at 100% damage.

Kickback will be removed. It's not possible to have kickback only to AA fire.

Denny, it's not a fake server, trust me. There are lots of japanese playing FHSW mod, which is not Battlefield 1942 Secret Weapons expansion pack. You just need Battlefield 1942, then download and install the mod client files to play it.
I believe some maps with much more than 64 players can be a whole new game, like Wake, Gazala, Coral Sea and Invasion of the Philippines. Some mods like Forgotten Hope may cope well with 128 players, if their server can handle it, because they have big custom maps.
For now, it's not possible to increase the players slots much more, because BFServerManager crashes at around 80 players.
Your suggestions are appreciated, but you should have created a new topic in Feedback. Tobruk and Omaha Beach maps were slightly changed.

!setnext, !change, !restart and !runnext commands are hard-coded in BFServerManager. I could change BFServerManager executable not to recognize those commands, but it's a minor issue, now, no one is changing maps.

Yes, most clan players say that they don't like Invasion of the Philippines and Omaha Beach maps, for example, but they seem to be some of the favorite maps of most players in the server. It's impossible to please everyone. The idea is to give the most variety in the map list.
The above discussion is actually a storm in a teacup. It didn't happen as the first poster described.

I think they will hit, probably this weekend, the 100 players mark in the server. Forgotten Hope: Secret Weapon is a nice mod for Forgotten Hope, although it's a bit demanding on computer resources, with lots of vehicles, new maps and has a large user base in Japan, where it's being developed.

In Battle of Britain the soldier spawns have been slightly repositioned at the factory and 2 extra spawns have been added near each hangar.
I haven't finished Aberdeen, but it will be added a death bubble to each main base. For now, the jeeps have been removed, but the map will suffer a total revamp, vehicles and even spawn points will be changed.

Found it in a nearby store selling for 6,9 €.
What bugs me the most is that Battlefield 1942 is one of the best online games, and it had some support from EA Games, back then, but when Battlefield 2 was released they totally forgot about it. Battlefield 1942 has some room for improvements, like better graphics, improving the netcode, optimizing the server and client code, widescreen support, running gracefully in Windows Vista and 7, etc., but they just don't care about it, because they aren't making money from selling BF1942 copies anymore.
On the other hand, Counter-Strike 1.6 (a Half-Life mod), much older than BF1942, is a great first-person shooter game, and is still very popular, has always received attention and support from Valve.
I just wished they released Battlefield 1942 as a free download and it would be like cherry on top if they made available the source code, like Quake developers did.

I don't like Aberdeen as it is, I will change it, starting from scratch, today. There are 2 possible ways to make the main bases uncapturable. Do you think there should be a death bubble in every main base or should the flags take very long (60 seconds or more) to be captured?
I think it's a good idea in Battle of Britain. Some soldier spawn points will be moved to the 2 hangars.

vamp contacted another admin and he promised that he understood his mistakes and apologized for it, so he is allowed to play, now.
By the way, King of Age of Empires is permanently banned from the servers.

Hi bathory,

Some players that get banned for whatever reason for 1 day, the next day if they repeat the offense, they will get a longer ban. I don't know the exact numbers, but I suppose that most players learn their lesson after the ban. Of course, there are some disruptive players, who aren't there to play, but to annoy everyone and prevent honest players from having fun. Sooner or later, they will be permanently banned from the server.

Yes, there are some bugs, but they are due to BFServerManager limitation to 64 players. Only problem I've noticed with lots of players, is when spawning in the beginning of the round, some players can't spawn in the 1st wave, they'll have to wait 12 seconds to spawn again.

Dudeck, you can permanently ban with !bdis .12 or !btk .28, if you don't append the time (1day, 3days, 1week, 1month) it's permanent.

admin.execRemoteCommand "admin.kickPlayer 83" works. I've tested now, you have first to do this:
admin.enableRemoteAdmin password, but I need to tell you the password. I will tell the password to any admin in a private message.
A useful trick is to use Tab key to auto-complete the commands in the console, like, you type ad press Tab it will complete to admin. then you type enableRe press Tab and it complete to admin.enableRemoteAdmin then you enter the password.
